Dua Ya Shaida Kulle Najwa

Transliteration

Allahumma ya shahida kulli najwa Wa mawdi'a kulli shakwa Wa 'alima kulli khafiyyah Wa muntaha kulli hajah Ya mubtadi'an bin-ni'ami 'alal-'ibad Ya karimal-'afw Ya hasanat-tijawuz Ya Jawadu Ya man la yuwari minhu laylun daj Wa la bahrun 'ajjaj Wa la sama'un dhatu abraj Wa la zulamun dhatirtitaj

Translation

O Allah Who witnesses all secrets of hearts, Who is the object of all complaints, Who knows all hidden things, and Who is the aim of all needs! O He Who instigates favoring on the Servants! O He Who is All-generous in pardoning! O He Who is All-excellent in overlooking! O All-magnanimous! O He Who cannot be concealed by the covering darkness of night, the roaring clamor of oceans, the skies along with their constellations, or the thunderous murk.

Transliteration

Ya maniz-zulmatu 'indahu diya' As'aluka binuri wajhikal-karim Alladhi tajallayta bihi lil-jabali faja'altahu dakka Wa kharra Musa sa'iqa Wa bismikalladhi rafa'tas-samawati bila 'amad Wa satahta bihil-arda 'ala wajhi ma'in jamad Wa bismikal-makhzunil-maknun Al-maktubit-tahir Alladhi idha du'ita bihi ajabt Wa idha su'ilta bihi a'tayt Wa bismikas-subbuhil-quddusil-burhan Alladhi huwa nurun 'ala kulli nur

Translation

O He with Whom the entire murk is light, I beseech You in the name of the brightness of Your Noble Face through which You manifested Your glory to the mountain; so, You made it crumble and (Prophet) Moses fell down in a swoon, in the name of Your Name by which You raised the heavens without any pillars and by which You flattened the earth on the surface of solid water, in the name of Your Name—the concealed, the stored, the scribed, and the pure, which You answer any one who beseeches You in its name and grant any one who asks You his request, in the name of Your Name; the Praised, Holy, and Demonstrative, which is light over the entire light,

Transliteration

Wa nurun min nur Yudi'u minhu kullu nur Idha balaghal-arda nshaqqat Wa idha balaghas-samawati futihat Wa idha balaghal-'arsha htazzat Wa bismikalladhi tarta'idu minhu fara'idu mala'ikatik Wa as'aluka bihaqqi Jabra'ila wa Mika'ila wa Israfil Wa bihaqqi Muhammadinil-mustafa Sallallahu 'alayhi wa alihi Wa 'ala jami'il-anbiya'i wa jami'il-mala'ikah Wa bil-ismilladhi masha bihil-Khidru 'ala qulalil-ma' Kama masha bihi 'ala jadadil-ard

Translation

which is light made of light, and from which all lights take their brightness; if it reaches the earth, it will be rent asunder, if it reaches the heavens, they will be opened, and if it reaches the throne, it will quiver; and in the name of Your Name from the fear of which the muscles of Your angels tremble. I beseech You in the name of [Archangels] Gabriel, Michael, and Seraph, in the name of Muhammad, the Divinely-chosen Prophet, peace be upon him, his Household, and all prophets and angels; in the name of the Name through which al-Khadir could walk on waters just as he used to walk on lands;

Transliteration

Wa bismikalladhi falaqta bihil-bahra li-Musa Wa aghraqta Fir'awna wa qawmahu Wa anjayta bihi Musa bna 'Imrana wa man ma'ah Wa bismikalladhi da'aka bihi Musa bnu 'Imran Min janibit-turil-ayman Fastajabta lahu wa alqayta 'alayhi mahabbatan minka Wa bismikalladhi bihi ahya 'Isa bnu Maryamal-mawta Wa takallama fil-mahdi sabiyya Wa abra'al-akmaha wal-abrasa bi-idhnika Wa bismikalladhi da'aka bihi hamalatu 'arshika Wa Jabra'ilu wa Mika'ilu wa Israfil Wa habibuka Muhammadun sallallahu 'alayhi wa alihi

Translation

in the name of You Name through which You caused the sea to cleave asunder for Moses, You drowned Pharaoh and his people, and saved Moses, the son of `Imran, and those who accompanied him; in the name of Your Name by which Moses, the son of `Imran, besought You from the right slope of the Mount; so, You responded to him and cast down upon him love from You; in the name of Your Name by which Jesus, the son of Mary, brought life to the dead, could speak while he was a child in the cradle, and healed the blind and the leprous by Your permission; in the name of Your Name by which the bearers of Your Throne besought You and so did Gabriel, Michael, Seraph, Muhammad Your most beloved one (peace be upon him and upon his Household)

Transliteration

Wa mala'ikatukal-muqarrabun Wa anbiya'ukal-mursalun Wa 'ibadukas-salihuna min ahlis-samawati wal-aradin Wa bismikalladhi da'aka bihi Dhun-Nun Idh dhahaba mughadiban fazanna an lan taqdira 'alayhi Fanada fiz-zulumati an la ilaha illa anta subhanaka Inni kuntu minaz-zalimin Fastajabta lahu wa najjaytahu minal-ghamm Wa kadhalika tunjil-mu'minin Wa bismikal-'azimilladhi da'aka bihi Dawud Wa kharra laka sajidan faghafarta lahu dhanbah Wa bismikalladhi da'atka bihi Asiyatu mra'atu Fir'awn

Translation

Your favorite angels, Your messaged Prophets, and Your righteous servants from among the inhabitants of the heavens and the layers of the earth; in the name of Your Name by which Dhu’l-Nun (Prophet Jonah) besought You when he departed in wrath: he imagined that You had no power over him, but he cried through the depths of darkness, “There is no god but You. Glory be to You. I was indeed one of those who are wrong!” So, You responded to him and delivered him from the grief and thus do You deliver the believers; in the name of Your Great Name by which David besought You and as he fell down prostrating himself to You, You rectified it for him; in the name of Your Name by which ªsiyah, the wife of Pharaoh, besought You,

Transliteration

Idh qalat: "Rabbi bni li 'indaka baytan fil-jannah Wa najjini min Fir'awna wa 'amalihi Wa najjini minal-qawmiz-zalimin" Fastajabta laha du'a'aha Wa bismikalladhi da'aka bihi Ayyubu idh halla bihil-bala' Fa'afaytahu wa ataytahu ahlahu wa mithlahum ma'ahum Rahmatan min 'indika wa dhikra lil-'abidin Wa bismikalladhi da'aka bihi Ya'qub Faradadta 'alayhi basarahu wa qurrata 'aynihi Yusufa wa jama'ta shamlah Wa bismikalladhi da'aka bihi Sulayman Fawahabta lahu mulkan la yanbaghi li-ahadin min ba'dihi Innaka antal-Wahhab

Translation

saying, “My Lord! Build for me a house with You in Paradise, deliver me from Pharaoh and his doing, and deliver me from the unjust people.” So, You responded to her prayer; in the name of Your Name by which (Prophet) Job besought You after misfortune had befallen him; so, You healed him and gave him his family and the like of them with them: a mercy from You and a reminder to the worshippers; in the name of Your Name by which (Prophet) Jacob besought You; so, You returned to him his sight and the delight of his heart, Joseph, and You reunified him. in the name of Your Name by which (Prophet) Solomon besought You; So, You gifted him kingdom that none else should never gain, for You are verily the Granter of bounties;

Transliteration

Wa bismikalladhi sakhkharta bihil-Buraqa li-Muhammadin Sallallahu 'alayhi wa alihi wa sallam Idh qala ta'ala: "Subhanalladhi asra bi'abdihi layla Minal-masjidil-harami ilal-masjidil-aqsa" Wa qawluhu: "Subhanalladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinina Wa inna ila Rabbina lamunqalibun" Wa bismikalladhi tanazzala bihi Jabra'ilu 'ala Muhammadin Sallallahu 'alayhi wa alihi Wa bismikalladhi da'aka bihi Adam Faghafarta lahu dhanbahu wa askantahu jannatak Wa as'aluka bihaqqil-qur'anil-'azim Wa bihaqqi Muhammadin khatamin-nabiyyin

Translation

in the name of Your Name by which You subdued the Buraq to Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his Household, as Almighty Allah says, “Glory be to Him Who made His servant to go on a night from the Sacred Mosque to the remote mosque.” He also says, “Glory be to Him Who made this subservient to us and we were not able to do it. Surely, to our Lord we must return;” in the name of Your Name by which (Archangel) Gabriel used to ascend to Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household; and in the name of Your Name by which Adam besought You; so, You rectified him and allowed him to dwell in Your Paradise. I beseech You in the name of the Great Qur'an, in the name of Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets,

Transliteration

Wa bihaqqi Ibrahim Wa bihaqqi faslika yawmal-qada' Wa bihaqqil-mawazini idha nusibat Wassuhufi idha nushirat Wa bihaqqil-qalami wa ma jara Wal-lawhi wa ma ahsa Wa bihaqqil-ismilladhi katabtahu 'ala suradiqil-'arsh Qabla khalqikal-khalqa wad-dunya Wash-shamsa wal-qamara bi-alfi 'am Wa ashhadu an la ilaha illallah Wahdahu la sharika lahu Wa anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh

Translation

in the name of Abraham, in the name of Your Judgment on the Day of the Administration of Justice, in the name of the Scales when they shall be set up, the Scrolls when they shall be laid open, the Pen and whatever has been decided, and the Tablet and whatever it has recorded; in the name of the Name that You had inscribed on the pavilion of the Divine Throne two thousand years before You created the beings, the world, the sun, and the moon. I bear witness that there is no god save Allah, alone without having any partner, and that Muhammad is his servant and messenger.

Transliteration

Wa as'aluka bismikal-makhzuni fi khaza'inika Alladhi sta'tharta bihi fi 'ilmil-ghaybi 'indaka Lam yazhar 'alayhi ahadun min khalqika La malakun muqarrab Wa la nabiyyun mursal Wa la 'abdun mustafa Wa as'aluka bismikalladhi shaqaqta bihil-bihar Wa qamat bihil-jibal Wakhtalafa bihil-laylu wan-nahar Wa bihaqqis-sab'il-mathani wal-qur'anil-'azim Wa bihaqqil-kiramil-katibin Wa bihaqqi Ta-Ha wa Ya-Sin wa Kaf-Ha-Ya-'Ayn-Sad

Translation

I beseech You in the name of Your Name that is hoarded in Your stores, You have kept in the knowledge of the Unseen with You and it has not been shown to any of Your creatures, be him a favorite angel, a missioned Prophet, or a chosen servant. I beseech You in the name of Your Name by which You rent asunder the oceans, the mountains rose, and night and day follow each other, in the name of the seven of the oft-repeated verses and the Grand Qur'an, in the name of the noble, recording angels, in the name of Ta-Ha, Ya-Sin, Kaf-Ha-Ya-`Ayn-Sad,

Transliteration

Wa Ha-Mim 'Ayn-Sin-Qaf Wa bihaqqi tawrati Musa Wa injili 'Isa Wa zaburi Dawud Wa furqani Muhammadin Sallallahu 'alayhi wa alihi Wa 'ala jami'ir-rusuli wa Bahiyyan Sharahiyyan Allahumma inni as'aluka bihaqqi tilkal-munajah Allati kanat baynaka wa bayna Musa bni 'Imran Fawqa jabali turi Sayna' Wa as'aluka bismikalladhi 'allamtahu malakal-mawti li-qabdil-arwah Wa as'aluka bismikalladhi kutiba 'ala waraqiz-zaytuni

Translation

Ha-Mim-`Ayn-Sin-Qaf, and in the name of the Torah of Moses, the Gospel of Jesus, the Psalms of David, the Furqan (Criterion) of Muhammad, peace be upon him, his Household, and all the messengers and bahiyya sharahiyya.([1]) O Allah, I beseech You in the name of this confidential talk which took place between You and Moses, the son of `Imran, on the Mount Tur Sayna', I beseech You in the name of Your Name which You taught the Angel of Death so that he would be able to grasp the souls, I beseech You in the name of Your Name which was written on the leaves of olive-trees;

Transliteration

Fakhada'atin-niranu litilkal-waraqah Faqulta: "Ya naru kuni bardan wa salama" Wa as'aluka bismikalladhi katabtahu 'ala suradiqil-majdi wal-karamah Ya man la yukhfihi sa'il Wa la yanqusuhu na'il Ya man bihi yustaghatu wa ilayhi yulja' As'aluka bima'aqidil-'izzi min 'arshika Wa muntahar-rahmati min kitabika Wa bismikal-a'zam Wa jaddikal-a'la Wa kalimatikat-tammatil-'ula Allahumma rabbar-riyahi wa ma dharat

Translation

so, fires subdued to these leaves after You said, “O fire! Be a comfort and peace,” and I beseech You in the name of Your Name that You wrote on the canopies of Glory and Dignity. O He Who cannot be annoyed by any beseecher He Who cannot be influenced by any reward (that He presents)! O He Whose refuge is taken and to Whom resort is made! I beseech You in the name of the Seats of Honor belonging to Your Throne, the utmost of mercy in Your Book, Your All-great Name, Your All-high majesty, and Your most high, perfect Words. O Allah, Lord of winds and whatever they scatter far,

Transliteration

Was-sama'i wa ma azallat Wal-ardi wa ma aqallat Wash-shayatini wa ma adallat Wal-bihari wa ma jarat Wa bihaqqi kulli haqqin huwa 'alayke haqq Wa bihaqqil-mala'ikatikal-muqarrabin War-rawhaniyyina wal-karrubiyyin Wal-musabbihina laka bil-layli wan-nahari la yafturun Wa bihaqqi Ibrahima khalilik Wa bihaqqi kulli waliyyin yunadika baynas-Safa wal-Marwah Wa tastajibu lahu du'a'ah Ya Mujibu as'aluka bihaqqi hadhihil-asma'i wa bihadhihid-da'awat

Translation

Lord of the sky and whatever it covers, the Lord of the earth and whatever it carries, the Lord of the devils and whomever they mislead, and the Lord of the oceans and wherever they flow. I beseech You in the name of everything that enjoys a right with You, in the name of the favorite angels, the angels managing the spirits, the cherubim, and the angels praising You night and day without showing sluggishness, in the name of Abraham, Your intimate friend, and in the name of each and every saint who calls You between Safa and Marwah and You respond to his/her prayer. O Responsive Lord! I beseech You in the name of all these names and all these prayers

Transliteration

An taghfira lana ma qaddamna wa ma akhkharna Wa ma asrarna wa ma a'lanna Wa ma abdayna wa ma akhfayna Wa ma anta a'lamu bihi minna Innaka 'ala kulli shay'in qadir Birahmatika ya arhamar-rahimin Ya hafiza kulli gharib Ya mu'nisa kulli wahid Ya quwwata kulli da'if Ya nasira kulli mazlum Ya raziqa kulli mahrum Ya mu'nisa kulli mustawhish

Translation

to forgive us all our past and coming sins, including the secret and the open, the hidden and the public, and those whom You know better than we do. Verily, You have power over all things. [Respond] in the name of Your mercy, O most Merciful of all those who show mercy. O He Who guards all strangers! O He Who brings entertainment to all lonely ones! O He Who is the power of all the weak! O He Who is the support of all the persecuted! O He Who bestows upon all the deprived! O He Who brings entertainment to all the lonesome!

Transliteration

Ya sahibu kulli musafir Ya 'imada kulli hadir Ya ghafira kulli dhanbin wa khati'ah Ya ghiyathal-mustaghighin Ya sarikhal-mustasrikhin Ya kashifa karbil-makrubin Ya farija hammil-mahmumin Ya badi'as-samawati wal-aradin Ya muntaha ghayatit-talibin Ya mujiba da'watil-mudtarrin Ya arhamar-rahimin Ya Rabbal-'alamin

Translation

O He Who is the company of all those on journeys! O He Who is the pillar of all the present! O He Who forgives all sins and offenses! O He Who is the aid of all those begging aid! O He Who is the relief of all those pleading for relief! O He Who relieves the calamity of those inflicted with calamities! O He Who alleviate the distress of the distressed ones! O He Who is the Originator of the heavens and the layers of the earth! O He Who is the utmost hope of the seekers! O He Who responds to the prayers of the troubled! O He Who is the most Merciful of all those who show mercy! O Lord of the worlds!

Transliteration

Ya Dayyana yawmid-din Ya ajwadal-ajwadin Ya akramal-akramin Ya asma'as-sami'in Ya absaran-nazirin Ya aqdaral-qadirin Ighfir liyal-dhunuballati tughayyirun-ni'am Waghfir liyal-dhunuballati turithun-nadam Waghfir liyal-dhunuballati turithus-saqam Waghfir liyal-dhunuballati tahtikul-'isam Waghfir liyal-dhunuballati taruddud-du'a' Waghfir liyal-dhunuballati tahbisu qatras-sama'

Translation

O Master of the Judgment Day! O most Magnanimous of all those who act magnanimously! O most Generous of all those who act generously! O most Hearing of all those who can hear! O most Seeing of all those who can see! O most Powerful of all those who have power! (Please) forgive my sins that change the bounties And forgive me my sins that bring about remorse, forgive me my sins that result in ailment, forgive me my sins that tear safeguards, forgive me my sins that repel prayers, forgive me my sins that withhold the drops of the sky,

Transliteration

Waghfir liyal-dhunuballati tu'ajjilul-fana' Waghfir liyal-dhunuballati tajlibush-shaqa' Waghfir liyal-dhunuballati tuzlimul-hawa' Waghfir liyal-dhunuballati takshiful-ghita' Waghfir liyal-dhunuballati la yaghfiruha ghayruka ya Allah Wahmil 'anni kulla tabi'atin li-ahadin min khalqika Waj'al li min amri farajan wa makhrajan wa yusra Wa anzil yaqinaka fi sadri Wa raja'aka fi qalbi hatta la arjuwa ghayraka Allahummahfazni wa 'afini fi maqami Was-habni fi layli wa nahari Wa min bayna yadayya wa min khalfi

Translation

forgive me my sins that hasten extinction, forgive me my sins that beget misery, forgive me my sins that darken the atmospheres, forgive me my sins that disclose the coverings, forgive me my sins that none can forgive save You, O Allah, bear from me every offensive that I have made against any of Your creatures, make all my affairs reach at relief, exit, and easiness, make Your tranquility ascend on my chest, and make hope in You ascend on my heart so that I shall never hope for anyone save You. O Allah, (please) safeguard me, heal me in all my situations, be my companion at nights and days, be ahead of me, behind me,

Transliteration

Wa 'an yamini wa 'an shimali Wa min fawqi wa min tahti Wa yassir liyal-sabil Wa ahsin liyal-taysir Wa la takhdhulni fil-'asir Wahdini ya khayra dalil Wa la takilni ila nafsi fil-umur Wa laqqini kulla surur Waqlibni ila ahli bil-falahi wan-najah Mahburan fil-'ajili wal-ajil Innaka 'ala kulli shay'in qadir Warzuqni min fadlika

Translation

from my right side, from my left side, from above me, and from beneath me, make easy all the ways for me, make excellent facilitation for me, do not disappoint me in hardships, guide me, O Best of all guides, do not leave me alone in all my affairs, make me receive all pleasures, and make me return to my family with prosperity, success, and gladness in the present and in the future. Verily, You have power over all things. (Please) bestow upon me with Your favors,

Transliteration

Wa awsi' 'alayya min tayyibati rizqika Wasta'milni fi ta'atika Wa ajirni min 'adhabika wa narika Waqlibni idha tawaffaytani ila jannatika birahmatika Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matika Wa min tahwili 'afiyatika Wa min hululi niqmatika Wa min nuzuli 'adhabika Wa a'hu dhu bika min jahdil-bala' Wa darakish-shaqa' Wa min su'il-qada' Wa shamatatil-a'da'

Translation

expand for me the most favorable of Your sustenance, apply me to the obedience to You, redeem me from Your chastisement and Fire, and when You grasp my soul, lead me to Your Paradise, by Your mercy. O Allah, I seek Your protection against confiscation of Your graces, against alternation of Your conferral of wellbeing on me, against the befalling of Your punishment, and against the ensuing of Your chastisement. I seek Your protection against arduous hardships, against coming about of misery, against evil end results, against my enemies’ gloating over my grief,

Transliteration

Wa min sharri ma yanzilu minas-sama' Wa min sharri ma fil-kitabil-munzal Allahumma la taj'alni minal-ashrar Wa la min ashabin-nar Wa la tahrimni suhbatalar-akhyar Wa ahyini hayatan tayyibah Wa tawaffani wafatan tayyibatan tulhiqni bil-abrar Warzuqni murafaqatan-anbiya' Fi maq'adi sidqin 'inda malikin muqtadir Allahumma lakal-hamdu 'ala husni bala'ika wa sun'ika Wa lakal-hamdu 'alal-islami wattiba'is-sunnah Ya Rabbi kama hadaytahum lidinika

Translation

against the evil of everything that ascends from the heavens, and against the evils mentioned in the Revealed Book. O Allah, (please) do not include me with the evil ones, do not include me with the people of Hellfire, do not deprive me of the companionship of the upright people, grant me a pleasant lifetime, decide for me a kind of death due to which You will join me to the Pious Ones, and confer upon me with the companionship of the Prophets in the seat of honesty with the All-powerful King. O Allah, all praise be to You for Your pleasant trials and deeds to us. All praise be to You for my being Muslim and for my following the Prophet’s traditions. O my Lord, as You have guided them (i.e. the pious)

Transliteration

Wa 'allamtahum kitabaka fahdina wa 'allimna Wa lakal-hamdu 'ala husni bala'ika wa sun'ika 'indi khassah Kama khalaqtani fa-ahsanta khalqi Wa 'allamtani fa-ahsanta ta'limi Wa hadaytani fa-ahsanta hidayati Falakal-hamdu 'ala in'amika 'alayya qadiman wa haditha Fakam min karbin ya sayyidi qad farrajtahu Wa kam min ghammin ya sayyidi qad naffastahu Wa kam min hammin ya sayyidi qad kashaftahu Wa kam min bala'in ya sayyidi qad saraftahu Wa kam min 'aybin ya sayyidi qad satartahu Falakal-hamdu 'ala kulli hal

Translation

and taught them Your Book, (please) guide us and teach us. All praise be to You for Your pleasant trials and deeds to me in private, as You created me, gifted me an excellent form, taught me, gifted me excellent erudition, guided me, and gifted me excellent guidance. So, all praise be to You for Your favors that You conferred upon me in the past and in the present. Too many are the agonies that You, my Master, relieved. Too many are the distresses that You, my Master, eased. Too many are the sufferings that You, my Master, alleviated. Too many are the hardships from which You, my Master, saved me. Too many are the defects that You, my Master, covered. So, all praise be to You for all conditions,

Transliteration

Fi kulli mathwan wa zaman Wa munqalabin wa maqam Wa 'ala hadhihil-hali wa kulli hal Allahummaj'alni min afdali 'ibadika nasiba Fi hadhal-yawmi min khayrin taqsimuhu Aw durrin takshifuhu Aw su'in tasrifuhu Aw bala'in tadfa'uhu Aw khayrin tasuquhu Aw rahmatin tanshuruha Aw 'afiyatini tulbisaha Fa-innaka 'ala kulli shay'in qadir

Translation

in every place and time, every circumstance and situation, and for the current condition and all conditions. O Allah, (please) shower upon me the best share of every good thing that You decide for Your servants on this day, such as harm that You decide to hold off, evil that You decide to ward off, ordeal that You decide to deter, grace that You decide to grant, item of mercy that You decide to distribute, and item of wellbeing that You decide to cover up (on one of Your servants), for You verily have power over all things,

Transliteration

Wa biyadika khaza'inus-samawati wal-ard Wa antal-wahidul-karimul-mu'ti Alladhi la yuraddu sa'iluhu Wa la yukhayyabu amiluhu Wa la yanqusu na'iluhu Wa la yanfadu ma 'indahu Bal yazdadu kathratan wa tiba Wa 'ata'an wa juda Warzuqni min khaza'inikallati la tafna Wa min rahmatikal-wasi'ah Inna 'ata'aka lam yakun mahzura Wa anta 'ala kulli shay'in qadir

Translation

in Your hands lie the hoards of the heavens and the earth, You are verily the One, the All-generous, and the Best Bestower, You are the One Whose beseechers are not rejected, and You are the One Who never disappoint those who put hope in Him, the One Who is never influenced by the rewards that He bestows upon anyone, and the One Whose possessions never run out; rather, You always increase in quantity, excellent gift, conferrals, and magnanimity. (Please) bestow upon me from Your hoards that never come to an end and from Your expansive mercy. Your conferral shall never be confined and You have power over all things;
