Rites on Monday (Taqeeb)

Transliteration

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhee lam yush-hid ahadaa Heena fataras-samaawaati wal-ard Wa lat-takhadha mueenan heena bara-an-nasamaat Lam yushaarak feel-ilaahiyyah Wa lam yudhaahar feel-wahdaaniyyah Kallatil-alsunu 'an ghaayati sifatih Wanhisaratil-'uqoolu 'an kunhi ma'rifatih Wa tawaada'atil-jabaabiratu lihaybatih Wa 'anatil-wujoohu likhash-yatih Wanqaada kullu 'adheemin li'adhamatih Falakal-hamdu mutawaatiran muttasiqaa Wa mutawaaliyan mustawsiqaa

Translation

Praise be to Allah Who allowed none to witness when He created the heavens and the earth, and Who took no helper when He authored the spirits! He has no associate in Divinity and no support in Unity. Tongues fall silent before the limit of describing Him, intellects fail before the core of knowing Him, tyrants fall low in awe of Him, faces are humbled in fear of Him, and everything mighty yields to His mightiness! So, to You belongs praise, again and again, well-measured, continually, methodically!

Transliteration

Wa salawaatuhu 'alaa rasoolihi abadaa Wa salaamuhu daa-iman sarmadaa Allaahummaj-'al awwala yawmee haadhaa salaahaa Wa awsatuhu falaahaa Wa aakhirahu najaahaa Wa a'oodhu bika min yawmin awwaluhu faza' Wa awsatuhu jaza' Wa aakhiruhu waja' Allaahumma innee astaghfiruka likulli nadhrin nadhartuh Wa likulli wa'din wa'adtuh Wa likulli 'ahdin 'aahadtuh Thumma lam afi laka bih

Translation

And may His blessings be upon His Messenger endlessly, and His salutation (be upon him) everlastingly, eternally! O Allah, (please) make the beginning of this day of mine righteousness, its middle prosperity, and its end success! I seek refuge in You from a day whose beginning is fright, whose middle is anxiety, and whose end is pain! O Allah, I pray forgiveness from You for every vow I have vowed, every promise I have made, and every pledge I have pledged and then I failed to keep for You.

Transliteration

Wa as-aluka fee madhaalimi 'ibaadika 'indee Fa ayyumaa 'abdin min 'abeedik Aw amatin min imaa-ik Kaanat lahu qibalee madhlamatun dhalamtuhaa iyyaah Fee nafsihi aw fee 'irdhih Aw fee maalihi aw fee ahlihi wa waladih Aw gheebatunigh-tabtuhu bihaa Aw tahaamulun 'alayhi bimaylin aw hawaa Aw anafatin aw hamiyyah Aw riyaa-in aw 'asabiyyah Ghaa-iban kaana aw shaahidaa Wa hayyan kaana aw mayyitaa

Translation

I ask You concerning the complaints of Your servants against me: If there is a servant from among Your servants or a bondmaid from among Your bondmaids, who has against me a complaint because I have wronged him in respect to himself, his reputation, his property, his wife or his child, or because evil words I have spoken about him in his absence, an imposition upon him through inclination, caprice, scorn, zeal, false show, bigotry, whether he be absent or present, alive or dead,

Transliteration

Faqasurat yadee Wa dhaaqa wus'ee 'an raddihaa ilayh Wat-tahalluli minh Fa as-aluka yaa man yamlikul-haajaat Wa hiya mustajeebatun bimashiyyatih Wa musri'atun ilaa iraadatih An tusalliya 'alaa Muhammadin wa aali Muhammad Wa an turdiyahu 'annee bimaa shi't Wa tahaba lee min 'indika rahmah Innahu laa tanqusukal-maghfirah Wa laa tadurrukal-mawhibah Yaa arhamar-raahimeen

Translation

such that my hand has fallen short and my capacity has been too narrow to make restitution to him or to annul my obligation to him, I ask You, O He who owns all objects of need, which are granted by His will and hasten to His desire that You bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, and make [the one I have wronged] satisfied with me in the manner that You will, and gift me mercy from You, because, indeed, forgiveness decreases You not and giving injures You not. O Most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

Transliteration

Allaahumma awlinee fee kulli yawmith-nayn Ni'matayni minka thintayn Sa'aadatan fee awwalihi bitaa'atik Wa ni'matan fee aakhirihi bimaghfiratik Yaa man huwal-ilaah Wa laa yaghfirudh-dhunooba siwaah

Translation

O Allah, bestow upon me on every Monday with two favors from You: the felicity to obey You at its beginning and the favor of Your forgiveness at its end! O He who is the God and none other than Whom grants forgiveness for sins!

Transliteration

alssalamu `alayka ya ibna rasuli rabbi al`alamina alssalamu `alayka ya ibna amiri almu'minina alssalamu `alayka ya ibna fatimata alzzahra’i alssalamu `alayka ya habiba allahi alssalamu `alayka ya sifwata allahi alssalamu `alayka ya amina allahi alssalamu `alayka ya hujjata allahi alssalamu `alayka ya nura allahi alssalamu `alayka ya sirata allahi alssalamu `alayka ya bayana hukmi allahi alssalamu `alayka ya nasira dini allahi alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alssayyidu alzzakiyyu

Translation

Peace be on you, O son of the Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds! Peace be on you, O son of the Commander of the Believers! Peace be on you, O son of Fatimah, the luminous lady! Peace be on you, O beloved of Allah! Peace be on you, O choice of Allah! Peace be on you, O trustee of Allah! Peace be on you, O Argument of Allah! Peace be on you, O Light of Allah! Peace be on you, O Path of Allah! Peace be on you, O elucidation of the rule of Allah! Peace be on you, O supporter of the religion of Allah! Peace be on you, O pure master!

Transliteration

alssalamu `alayka ayyuha albarru alwafiyyu alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alqa'imu al-aminu alssalamu `alayka ayyuha al`alimu biltta'wili alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alhadi almahdiyyu alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alttahiru alzzakiyyu alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alttaqiyyu alnnaqiyyu alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alhaqqu alhaqiqu alssalamu `alayka ayyuha alshshahidu alssiddiqu alssalamu `alayka ya aba muhammadin alhasana ibna `aliyyin wa rahmatu allahi wa barakatuhu

Translation

Peace be on you, O self-righteous and truthful! Peace be on you, O practiser (of God’s commands) and trustee! Peace be on you, O well-experienced in the interpretation (of the Qur'an)! Peace be on you, O guide and well-guided! Peace be on you, O immaculate and pure! Peace be on you, O pious and infallible! Peace be on you, O veritable truth! Peace be on you, O martyr and veracious! Peace be on you, O Abu-Muhammad al-Hasan, the son of `Ali! Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you!

Transliteration

assalamu `alayka ya ibna rasuli allahi assalamu `alayka ya ibna amiri almu'minina alssalamu `alayka ya ibna sayyidati nisa'i al`alamina ash-hadu annaka aqamta alssalata wa atayta alzzakata wa amarta bilma`rufi wa nahayta `an almunkari wa `abadta allaha mukhlisan wa jahadta fi allahi haqqa jihadihi hatta ataka alyaqinu fa`alayka alssalamu minni ma baqitu wa baqiya allaylu walnnaharu

Translation

Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger! Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Believers! Peace be upon you, O son of the doyenne of the women of the world! I bear witness that you performed the prayers [duly], defrayed the poor-rate, enjoined the right, forbade the wrong, worshipped Allah sincerely, and strove for the sake of Allah with due striving until death came upon you. So, peace from me be upon you as long as I am alive and as long as day and night remain,

Transliteration

wa `ala ali baytika alttayyibina alttahirina ana ya mawlaya mawlan laka wa li-ali baytika silmun liman salamakum wa harbun liman harabakum mu'minun bisirrikum wa jahrikum wa zahirikum wa batinikum la`ana allahu a`da'akum mina al-awwalina wal-akhirina wa ana abra'u ila allahi ta`ala minhum

Translation

and peace be upon your Household, the pure, the immaculate. O my master, I am a servant of you and of your Household, peaceful with those who keep peace with you, at war against those who are at war against you, and believing in your secret and open affairs and your inward and outward affairs. May Allah curse your enemies from the past and late generations. And I release myself from them before Almighty Allah!

Transliteration

ya mawlaya ya aba muhammadin ya mawlaya ya aba `abdillahi hadha yawmu al-ithnayni wa huwa yawmukuma wa bismikuma wa ana fihi dayfukuma fa-adifani wa ahsina diyafati fani`ma man istudifa bihi antuma wa ana fihi min jiwarikuma fa-ajirani fa'innakuma ma'murani bilddiyafati wal-ijarati fasalla allahu `alaykuma wa alikuma alttayyibina

Translation

O my master, Abu-Muhammad; and my master, Abu-`Abdullah! Today is Monday, which is the day of both of you and carrying your names. On this day, I am your guest; therefore, receive me as your guest and treat me hospitably. Verily, you both are the most excellent hosts a guest may gain. On this day too, I am in your vicinity; so, treat me as your neighbor, since you are commanded to receive your guests and neighbors hospitably. May Allah’s peace be upon you both and upon your immaculate household.

Transliteration

Subhaanal-hannaani al-mannaanil-jawaad Subhaanal-kareemil-akram Subhaanal-baseeril-'aleem Subhaanas-samee'il-waasi' Subhaanallaahi 'alaa iqbaalin-nahaari wa iqbaalil-layl Subhaanallaahi 'alaa idbaarin-nahaari wa idbaaril-layl Laa ilaaha illallaahu fee aanaa-il-layli wa aanaa-in-nahaar Wa lahul-hamdu wal-majdu wal-'adhamatu wal-kibriyaa' Ma'a kulli nafasin wa kulli tarfah Wa kulli lamhatin sabaqat fee 'ilmih Subhaanaka 'adada dhaalik Subhaanaka zinata dhaalika wa maa ahsaa kitaabuk

Translation

Glory be to the Kind, Compassionate, and the All-magnanimous! Glory be to the Generous and the most generous! Glory be to the Discerning and the Wise! Glory be to him, the all-hearing and immense! Glory be to him upon daytime and nighttime arriving! Glory be to Allah upon the time of sunset and the zero hours of the departing night. There is no God except Allah in the watches of the night and day. For Him alone is; the praise, might, greatness and omnipotence. With every breath and twinkle of an eye and every moment already registered in His all-embracing awareness, Glory be counted to you! Glory be to you equal to the measure and the infinite range that covers Your Book!

Transliteration

Subhaanaka zinata 'arshik Subhaanaka [Subhaanaka] subhaana rabbinaa dhil-jalaali wal-ikraam Subhaana rabbinaa tasbeehan kamaa yambaghee likarami wajhihi wa 'izzi jalaalih Subhaana rabbinaa tasbeehan muqaddasan muzakkan kadhaalika fa'ala rabbunaa Subhaanal-hayyil-haleem Subhaanal-ladhee kataba 'alaa nafsihir-rahmah Subhaanal-ladhee khalaqa aadama wa akhrajanaa min sulbih Subhaanal-ladhee yuhyil-amwaata wa yumeetul-ahyaa' Subhaana man huwa raheemun [haleemun] laa ya'jal Subhaana man huwa raqeebun [qareebun] laa yaghful Subhaana man huwa jawaadun laa yabkhal Subhaana man huwa haleemun laa yajhal

Translation

Glory be to You; that is equal to the measure of Your Throne! Glorified be our Allah, the Glorious and Gracious. Glory be to Allah with a proper glorification due to His distinct Munificence and His Excellent Glory! Glory be to Allah with a righteous and holy glorification. Glory be to Allah the ever-living and clement! Glory be to him who has written upon himself The Mercy! Glory be to him who Created Adam and bought us from his essence. Glory be to him who revives the deceased's and causes the living to die. Glory be to Him Who is Merciful, never does a thing in haste. Glory be to you, who is watchful and never misses. Glory be to you, The Generous who is never a miser. Glory be to you, The Forbearing who never forgets.

Transliteration

Subhaana man jalla thanaa-uhu wa lahul-mid-hatul-baalighah Fee jamee'i maa yuthnaa 'alayhi minal-majd Subhaanallaahil-haleem Wa sallallaahu 'alaa sayyidinaa muhammadin wa aalihit-taahireen

Translation

Glory be to you, who He-great is His praise. And for him is the conclusive praise in his every Glory that is praised. Glory be to Allah, The forbearing, and God bless our chief, Muhammad; and his immaculate Household.

Transliteration

U'eedhu nafsee birabbil-akbar mimmaa yakhfaa wa maa yadh-har Wa min sharri kulli unthaa wa dhakar Wa min sharri maa ra-atish-shamsu wal-qamar Quddoosun quddoosun rabbul-malaa-ikati war-rooh Ad'ookum ayyuhal-jinnu in kuntum saami'eena mutee'een Wa ad'ookum ayyuhal-insu ilal-lateefil-khabeer Wa ad'ookum ayyuhal-jinnu wal-ins Ilal-ladhee khatamtuhu bikhaatami rabbil-'aalameen Wa khaatami Jibreela wa Meekaala wa Israafeel Wa khaatami Sulaymaanabni Daawooda 'alayhimus-salaam Wa khaatami Muhammadin sayyidil-mursaleena wan-nabiyyeen Sallallaahu 'alayhi wa aalihee wa 'alayhim ajma'een

Translation

I seek protection for me, in my Lord, the Most Great from; the evil of what is hidden and apparent, the evil of every female and male, the evil of what the sun and moon behold. Most Holy, Most Holy, Lord of the angels and the Spirit. I call on you, O jinn, if you are hearing, obedient, and I call you, O humankind, to the Gracious, the All-knowing. I call you, O humankind and jinn, to Him Who is obeyed by all creation stamped with the seal of the Lord of the Worlds, and the seal of Jibrail, Mikail, and Israfil, and the seal of Sulayman b. Dawud, peace be upon them and the seal of Muhammad, the chief of the Prophets, blessings of Allah on Muhammad and his Ahl Al-Bayt, the good and pure.

Transliteration

Wa azjuru [wa aakhudhu] 'an fulaanibni fulaan kulla maa yaghdoo wa yaroohoo min dhee hayyin aw 'aqrabin aw saahirin aw shaytaanin rajeemin aw sultaani 'aneed Akhadhtu 'anhu maa yuraa wa maa laa yuraa Wa maa ra-at 'aynu naa-imin aw yaqdhaana bi-idhnillaahil-lateefil-khabeer Laa sultaana lakum 'alallaahi laa shareeka lahu wa sallallaahu 'alaa rasoolihi sayyidinaa Muhammadinin-nabiyyi wa aalihit-taahireena wa sallama tasleemaa

Translation

Remove from so-and-so, son of so-and-so, every female jinn with a rebellious spirit, a jinn or demon or rebellious enchanter, or obstinate ruler or an accursed devil. Remove from so-and-so, which is seen and unseen; seen by an eye, sleeping or awake, by the will of Allah, the Gracious, the All-knowing. There is no way for you over him, nor over what is feared for him. Allah, no partner has He, and Allah bless Muhammad and his Ahl Al-Bayt.

Transliteration

Subhaanaka allaahumma wa bihamdik Antallaahul-malikul-haqq Wa anta malikun laa malika ma'aka wa laa shareeka lak Wa laa ilaaha doonaka'tarafat lakal-khalaa-iq Rabbanaa lakal-hamdu wa lakal-mulkul-'adheemul-ladhee laa yazool Wal-ghaniyyul-kabeerul-ladhee laa ya'ool Was-sultaanul-'azeezul-ladhee laa yudaam Wal-'izzul-manee'ul-ladhee laa yuraam Wal-hawlul-waasi'ul-ladhee laa yadeeq Wal-quwwatul-mateenatul-latee laa tad'uf Wal-kibriyaa-ul-'adheemul-ladhee laa yoosaf Wal-'adhamatul-kabeerah

Translation

O, Allah, glory be to You and praise. You are Allah; the Truth king, You are the King without a king with nor a partner and no God besides You; the creation confessed to You. O, Lord to You belongs praise, and For You; is the Great Kingdom which doesn't change, The great rich Whom doesn't wail, The mighty King Whom is never overpowered, The indomitable superiority which never leaves, The immense might which doesn't constrain, The excellent strength which doesn't get weak, The great grandeur which can't be described, and the excellent greatness!

Transliteration

Fahawla arkaani 'arshikan-nooru wal-waqaar Min qabli an takhluqas-samaawaati wal-ard Wa kaana 'arshuka 'alal-maa' Wa kursiyyuka yatawaqqadu nooraa Wa suraadiquka suraadiqun-noori wal-'adhamah Wal-ikleelul-muheetu bihi haykalus-sultaan Wal-'izzati wal-mid-hah Laa ilaaha illaa anta rabbul-'arshil-'adheem Wa [dhul] bahaa-i wan-noori wal-husni wal-jamaal Wal-'ulaa wal-'adhamati wal-kibriyaa-i wal-jabarooti was-sultaani wal-qudrah Antal-kareemul-qadeer [Al-qaadiru] 'alaa jamee'i maa khalaqt

Translation

Hence, Your Throne Pillars are surrounded with light and solemnity; before the heavens and earth were created. And Your throne was above the water; Your seat was glowing with the light! Your pavilions were pavillions of light and greatness, and the surrounding diadem has; the King's entity, pride, and glorification. There is no God save You, the Lord of the Great Throne (Owner of); elegance, light, comeliness, beauty, highness, greatness, grandeur, power, supremacy, and ability. You indeed are the generous Allmighty. (The All-Capable) upon everything You created,

Transliteration

Wa laa yaqdiru shay-un qadrak Wa laa yuda''ifu shay-un 'adhamatak Khalaqta maa aradta bimashiyyataik Fanafadha feemaa khalaqta 'ilmuka wa ahaata bihi khubruk Wa ataa 'alaa dhaalika amruka wa wasi'ahu hawluka wa quwwatuk Lakal-khalqu wal-amru wal-asmaa-ul-husnaa Wal-amthaalul-'ulyaa wal-aalaa-u wal-kibriyaa' Dhul-jalaali wal-ikraami wan-ni'amul-'idhaam Wal-'izzatul-latee laa turaam Subhaanaka wa bihamdika tabaarakta rabbanaa wa jalla thanaa-uk Allaahumma salli 'alaa Muhammadin 'abdika wa rasoolik Wa nabiyyika khaatamin-nabiyyeenal-muqaffee 'alaa aathaarihim

Translation

nothing can measure Your loftiness and weak Your greatness. You created everything with Your desire; fulfilled in Your creation Your knowledge, surrounded by Your announcement, completed it by Your command and extended over Your force and strength! ForYou; belong the creation and command, the Most Excellent Names, the loftiest likenesses, bounties, and grandeur. You are the possessor of; majesty and munificence, great blessings, and the pride that doesn't leave. Glory and praise be to You, blessed You are, and splendid be the praising of You. O, Allah (please) do send blessings upon Muhammed, Your servant, messenger, and Prophet; the seal of prophets who trace their footsteps,

Transliteration

Wal-muhtajji bihi 'alaa umamihim Wal-muhaymini 'alaa tasdeeqihim Wan-naasiri lahum min dalaali manid-da'aa min ghayrihim da'watahum wa saara bikhilaafi seiratihim Salaatan tu'adh-dhimu bihaa noorahu 'alaa noorihim Wa tazeedu bihaa sharafan 'alaa sharafihim Wa tuballighuhu bihaa afdala maa ballaghta nabiyyan minhum wa 'alaa ahli baytih Allaahumma fazid Muhammadan sallallaahu 'alayhi wa aalih Ma'a kulli fadeelatin fadeelah Wa ma'a kulli karaamatin karaamah Hattaa tu'arrifa fadeelatahu wa karaamatahoo ahlal-karaamati 'indaka yawmal-qiyaamah Wa hab lahu sallallaahu 'alayhi wa aalih Minar-rif'ati afdalar-rif'ah

Translation

the proof upon their nations, the ruler upon their believing, and the helper for them before the error of who claims it without a right; and walked opposite their path. A blessing that; glorifies his light upon their, decreases his honor upon their, will take him with the most excellent from what other Prophet reached and upon his Household. O, Allah does increase Muhammed blessings upon him and his Household; with every merit another merit, and with every nobility another nobility; until The people of dignity will realize his merit and nobility for You on the Day of Resurrection. Bless him, blessings of Allah upon him and his Household; the best of greatness,

Transliteration

Wa minar-ridaa afdalar-ridaa Warfa' darajatahool-'ulyaa Wa taqabbal shafaa'atahool-kubraa Wa aatihi su/lahoo feel-aakhirati wal-oolaa Aameena ilaahal-haqqi rabbal-'aalameen Allaahumma innee as-aluka bismikal-akbaril-'adheem Al-makhzoonil-ladhee tufattahu bihee abwaabu samaawaatika wa rahmatuk Wa yastawjibu bihee ridwaanakal-ladhee tuhibb Wa tahwaa wa tardaa 'amman da'aaka bih Wa huwa haqqun 'alayka an laa tahrima bihee saa-ilak Wa bikullis-min da'aaka bihir-roohul-ameen Wal-malaa-ikatul-muqarraboon

Translation

the best of satisfaction, raise his highest degree, accept his great intercession, and grant him his request in the end and the beginning. May it be so; Allah of Truth, Lord of the worlds! O, Allah, I beseech you by Your enormous saved great name; that opens Your heavens door and mercy, demands by it Your satisfaction that You like, desire, and accept upon whom prayed for You! And it is the right that You do not deny the one who asks from you, and by every name was called on You by; the trustworthy spirit, the close Angels,

Transliteration

Wal-hafadhatul-kiraamul-kaatiboon Wa ambiyaa-ukal-mursaloona wal-akhyaarul-muntajaboon Wa jamee'u man fee samaawaatika wa aqtaari ardik Was-sufoofu hawla 'arshika tuqaddisu lak An tusalliya 'alaa Muhammadin wa aali Muhammad Wa an tandhura fee haajatee ilayk Wa an tarzuqanee na'eemal-aakhirati wa husna thawaab Ahlihaa fee daaril-muqaamati min fadlik Wa manaazilal-akhyaari fee dhillin ameen Fa-innaka anta bara/tanee wa anta tu'eedunee lak Aslamtu nafsee wa ilayka fawwadtu amree Wa ilayka alja/tu dhahree

Translation

the recorders of deeds, Your sent Prophets, the chosen good. And all who are in your heavens, the quarters of the earth, and queues around Your throne indeed do glorify You to; send Your blessings upon Muhammed and his Household and look into my need from You. Bestow upon me with Your favor of blisses of the end, the splendid reward of its people in the home that is made from Your Bounties, and the high standing of the best in a safe shade! You are indeed The One who created me and will send me back to You. To You have I; submitted myself, and I entrusted my affairs with You. To You have I; commend my cause

Transliteration

Wa 'alayka tawakkaltu wa bika wathiqt Allaahumma innee ad'ooka du'aa-a da'eefin mudtarr Wa rahmatuka yaa rabbi awthaqu 'indee min du'aa-ee Allaahumma fa/dhanil-laylata lidu'aa-ee an ya'ruja ilayk Wa/dhan likalaamee an yalija ilayk Wasrif basaraka 'an khatee-atee Allaahumma salli 'alaa Muhammadin wa aali Muhammad Wa a'oodhu bika an adilla fee haadhihil-laylah Faasiqan aw an aghwiya naasikaa Aw a'mala bimaa laa tahwaa Fa-anta rabbus-samaawaatil-'ulaa Wa anta taraa wa laa turaa wa anta bil-mandharil-a'laa

Translation

and rely and trust on You! O, Allah, I supplicate You with the supplication of a compelled weak one! And Your mercy is much more trusted to me than my prayer. O, Allah, therefore; permit my prayer to rise to You, permit my words to reach You, and turn away Your sight from my sins. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad; I do seek Your refuge upon astray this night; of disobedience or luring a believer! Or to do deeds in what You don't like because You are; the God of the high heavens, Verily You see but cannot be seen while You are in the Highest Prospect;

Faaliqul-habbi wan-nawaa Allaahumma innee as-alukal-laylah Afdalan-naseebi feel-ansibaa' Wa atamman-ni'mati feen-na'maa' Wa afdalash-shukri fees-sarraa' Wa ahsanas-sabri feed-darraa' Wa afdalar-rujoo'i ilaa afdali daaril-ma/waa Allaahumma salli 'alaa Muhammadin wa aali Muhammad Wa as-alukal-mahabbata limahaabbik Wal-'ismata min mahaarimik Wal-wajala min khash-yatik Wal-khash-yata min 'adhaabik

Translation

splits the grain and the date-stone. O Allah, I beseech You this night; the best of the destinies, completing in blisses, the best praise in the ease, the best patience in the adversity, and the best return to the best house of Permanence! O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, I ask; the love for Your well-beloved, the hindering of which You have deemed forbidden, be apprehended from Your fear, fearing Your chastisement,

Transliteration

Wan-najaata min 'iqaabik War-raghbata fee husni thawaabik Wal-fiqha fee deenika wal-fahma fee kitaabik Wal-qunoo'a birizqika wal-wara'a 'an mahaarimik Wal-istihlaala lihalaalika wat-tahreema liharaamik Wal-intihaa-a 'an ma'aaseeka wal-hifdha liwasiyyatik Was-sidqa biwa'dika wal-wafaa-a bi'ahdik Wal-i'tisaama bihablika wal-wuqoofa 'inda maw'idhatik Wal-izdijaara 'inda zawaajirik Wal-istibaara 'alaa 'ibaadatik Wal-'amala bijamee'i amrik Yaa arhamar-raahimeen

Translation

salvation from Your punishment, desire in a proper reward for You, knowledge in Your religion, understanding Your book, feeling the satisfaction in Your livelihood, God-fearing of which You have deemed forbidden, deeming permissible for Your unforbidden, Forebodement of what You have deemed forbidden, preventing sinful deeds, living up to Your will, credence to Your promise, fulfillment of Your oath, holding fast to Your bond, sticking at Your admonition, restrain from Your prohibitions, patience upon Your worshipping and working on all Your commands. O Most Merciful of the merciful!

Transliteration

Wa sallallaahu 'alaa sayyidinaa Muhammadin khaatamin-nabiyyeen Wa 'alaa 'itratihil-mahdiyyeen Was-salaamu 'alayhim wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh

Translation

And send Your blessings upon Muhammed; the seal of prophets and his leading Household and peace be upon them with God's mercy and blessings.
