اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ الْعَلِيمُ الْخَالِقُ الرَّازِقُ…
Transliteration
Allahumma Anta Allahu al-Alimu al-Khaliqu al-Raziq, wa Anta Allahu al-Qadiru al-Muqtadiru al-Qadir. As’aluka an tusalliya ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala ali Muhammad. Wa an tu’arrifana barakata hadha al-shahri wa yumnahu, wa tarzuqana khayrahu, wa tasrifa ‘anna sharrahu, wa taj’alana fihi mina al-fa’izin. Ya Arhama al-Rahimin. Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala ali Muhammad, waj’alni akthara al-‘alamina qadran, wa absatahum ‘ilman, wa a’azzahum ‘indaka maqaman, wa akramahum ladayka jahan. Kama khalaqta Adama ‘alayhi al-salam min turabin, wa nafakhta fihi min ruhika, wa asjadta lahu mala’ikataka, wa ‘allamtahu al-asma’a kullaha. Wa ja’altahu khalifatan fi ardika, wa sakhkharta lahu ma fi al-samawati wa ma fi al-ardi jamian minka, wa karramta dhurriyyatahu wa faddaltahum ‘ala al-‘alamin. Allahumma laka al-hamdu wa minka al-na’ma’u wa laka al-shukru da’iman. Ya Latifan bi’ibadihi al-mu’minin, ya Sami’a al-du’a’, irham wastajib. Fa-innaka ta’lamu wa la a’lamu, wa taqdiru wa la aqdiru, wa Anta ‘Allamu al-ghuyub. Faj’al qalbi wa ‘azmi wa himmati wa niyyati wafqa mashiyyatika wa asira amrik. Allahumma inni la aqdiru an as’alaka illa bi-idhnika, wa la aqdiru an as’alaka ba’da idhnika khawfan min i’radika wa ghadabik. Fakun hasbi ya man huwa al-hasbu wal-wakilu wal-nasir. Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala ali Muhammad, wa ‘ala jami’i mala’ikatika al-muqarrabin, wa anbiya’ika al-mursalin, wa ‘ibadika al-salihin. Ya Arhama al-Rahimin. Ya Jaliya al-ahzan, ya muwassi’a al-diq, ya man huwa awla bi-khalqihi min anfusihim, wa ya fatira tilka al-anfusi anfusan, wa mulhimaha fujuraha wal-taqwa. Nazala bi ya farija al-hammi hamman diqtu bihi dhar’an wa sadran hatta khashitu an yakuna ‘aradat fitnah.
Translation
O Allah! You are Allah, the All-Knowing, the Creator, the Provider; and You are Allah, the Destiner, the Omnipotent, the Powerful. I ask You to bestow blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. And make us know the blessings of this month and its good omens, grant us its goodness, divert its evil away from us, and make us among the successful ones during it, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy. O Allah, bestow blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and make me the highest in rank among all beings, the most vast in knowledge, the most honorable in station before You, and the most esteemed in status in Your presence. Just as You created Adam, peace be upon him, from clay, blew into him from Your Spirit, caused Your angels to prostrate to him, and taught him all the names. And You made him a vicegerent on Your earth, subjected for him all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth as a gift from You, honored his descendants, and preferred them over all the worlds. O Allah, to You belongs all praise, from You come all blessings, and to You is eternal gratitude. O You who are Kind to Your believing servants, O Hearer of supplication, have mercy and answer. For You know and I do not know; You have the power and I do not have the power; and You are the Knower of all that is hidden. So make my heart, my determination, my aspiration, and my intention in accordance with Your will and in submission to Your command. O Allah, I am not able to ask You except by Your permission, and I am not able to [cease to] ask You after Your permission, out of fear of Your turning away and Your wrath. So be enough for me, O He who is the Sufficient One, the Guardian, and the Helper. O Allah, bestow blessings upon Muhammad, the family of Muhammad, all Your angels brought near, Your sent prophets, and Your righteous servants, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy. O Reliever of sorrows, O Expander of straits, O He who is closer to His creation than they are to themselves, O Creator of these souls, and the Inspirer of their wickedness and their piety. A grief has befallen me, O Remover of anxiety—a grief by which I have become constrained and tight-chested, to the point that I feared a trial had occurred.
