Dua and Amaal for 23rd of the month of Ramadan

Transliteration

allahumma aghsilny fihi mina aldhdhunubi wa tahhrny fihi mina al`uyubi wamtahin qalby fihi bitaqwa alqulubi ya muqila `atharati almudhnibina

Translation

O Allah; on this day, (please) cleanse me from sinning; And purify me from defects, And try my heart with the cordial piety; O He Who overlook the slips of the guilty ones.

Translation

"Sacred Holy Lord of the angels and the Spirit! Sacred Holy Lord of the Spirit and the Throne! Sacred Holy Lord of the heavens and the earths! Sacred Holy Lord of the seas and the mountains! Sacred Holy whom the fish, the pests and the beasts in the jungles glorify. Sacred Holy whom the nearby-stationed angels glorify. Sacred Holy He is Sublime thus subdues. Creates thus He is Powerful! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Sacred! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Surely you are the best forgiver I ask You to bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as), forgive me and have Mercy on me. Indeed You are the One! The Eternal, Absolute!”.

Translation

O Allah, I ask You, O You who made the night a garment, sleep a means of rest, and the day a time of resurrection, O You who sent the winds as heralds of Your mercy, and sent down from the sky pure water, O You who placed fortresses in the sky and made therein a lamp and a shining moon, O You who let the two seas flow, setting between them a barrier and an impassable boundary, O You who made the night and the day as a succession for those who desire to remember or wish to be thankful, O You who inspired Moses to strike the sea with his staff,

Translation

splitting it so that each part was like a great towering mountain, O You who made the earth a dwelling place, placed within it rivers, set firm mountains upon it, and made a barrier between the two seas, O You who respond to the distressed when they call upon You and relieve hardship, I ask You, O Allah, by what I have confided in You today, to send blessings upon Muhammad and his pure family. Make a way out for me from my difficulties, ease my affairs, relieve my worries, provide for me from where I expect and from where I do not, for indeed You bring ease after hardship, comfort after distress, well-being after trial, mercy after despair, prosperity after poverty.

Translation

And I ask You, O Lord, for Your love, the love of those who love You, and to love the deed that brings me closer to Your love. By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful, indeed You are capable of all things, and may Allah send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his pure family.

Transliteration

ya rabba laylati alqadri wa ja`ilaha khayran min alfi shahrin wa rabba allayli wal-nnahari wal-jibali wal-bihari wal-zzulami wal-anwari wal-ardi wal-ssama‘i ya bari’u ya musawwiru ya hannanu ya mannanu ya allahu ya rahmanu ya allahu ya qayyumu ya allahu ya badi`u ya allahu ya allahu ya allahu

Translation

O the Lord of the Grand Night And He Who decided it to be better than one thousand months; And the Lord of night and day And the Lord of mountains and oceans, And the Lord of darkness and light, And the earth and the heavens. O the Maker, O the Fashioner, O the All-tender, O the All-favorer O Allah, O the All-beneficent, O Allah, O the Self-Subsisting, O Allah, O the wonderful Originator, O Allah; O Allah; O Allah;

Transliteration

laka alasma‘u alhusna wal-amthalu al`ulia wal-kibrya‘u wal-ala‘u as’aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin wa an taj`ala asmy fi hadhihi allaylati fi alssu`ada‘i wa ruhy ma`a alshshuhada‘i wa ihsany fi `illiyyina wa isa‘aty maghfuratan wa an tahaba li yaqinan tubashiru bihi qalbi wa ‘imanan yudhhibu alshshkk `anni wa turdiyany bima qasamta li wa atina fi alddunya hasanatan

Translation

To You are the Most Excellent Names, And the most elevated examples, And greatness and bounties. I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, And to include my name with the list of the happiest ones, And to add my soul to the martyrs, And record my good deeds in the most exalted rank And to decide my offense to be forgiven, And to grant me certitude that fills in my heart And faith that removes dubiosity from me And to make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me And (please) grant us reward in this world

Transliteration

wa fi alakhirati hasanatan wa qina `adhaba alnnari alhariqi warzuqny fiha dhikraka wa shukraka wal-rraghbata ilayka wal-inabata wal-ttawfiqa lima waffaqta lahu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin `alayhi wa `alayhimu alssalamu

Translation

And reward in the Hereafter, And save us from the torment of the burning Fire, And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You, And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them.

Transliteration

ya mudabbira ala’umuri ya ba`itha man fi alquburi ya mujriya albuhuri ya mulayyina alhadidi lidawuda salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin…

Translation

O the Director of all affairs; O the Resurrector of all those in graves; O He Who causes oceans to flow; O He Who made the iron pliant for (Prophet) David; (Please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad…

Transliteration

al-laylata al-laylata

Translation

This very night; this very night.

Translation

“O‟ my God! Even though there is some doubt about whether this night or the previous one is the Night of Destiny, there is no doubt about Your being one and only and that You purify the deeds. You would not push away Your servant on any night that he seeks closeness to You, and You accept him. You do not reject him if he is sincere in what he asks and You would fulfill his request. You thank him if he does good deeds. And You would save any deeds he sends up that please You. O‟ my God! Please give me assistance regarding what would bring me closer to You. Please grab me and lead me towards what would bring me closer to You. And increase my efforts for both worlds. And make the goods You grant me in this month better for me. And cut me off from my sins by means of repentance. And cut me off from my mistakes by Your Extensive Mercy. And please forgive me, my parents, all the believing men and women on this night. Forgiveness of one who is free from the punishment of the weak, Merciful to the ones in privation and poverty- Forgiving to his servants- Most kind to their humbleness and debasement. Friend whose bounties do not diminish by bestowing on them, and whose wealthiness is not affected by His making them wealthy. O‟ my God! Please pay back all my debts and that of all who are in debt. Please relieve my grief and that of all who are grief-stricken, improve my affairs as well as the affairs of my wife and children. And improve all mixed up affairs to benefit me. Also grant me legitimate, pure and delicious sustenance, clothes, and provisions for my afterlife. Cut my hands off of forbidden things without cutting them or making them crippled, or making me dumb, or making me deaf, or making me blind, or making me crippled, or making me impotent, or given me a stomach-ache, or making my other organs defective.

Translation

Please let me enter to see You on the Day I shall stand in front of You while I am free of sins, free of faults, not ashamed of You, for having denied Your Blessings, having never confessed to anyone being a partner with You in Your Power, not having started any sedition, having never fallen into any ditch of unduly shed blood, not having placed anyone‟s yoke on my neck whom You have honored somehow, not having stood under any deceitful flags, and not having turned colors due to false oaths and betrayal of pledges. Please give me enough of Your success and guidance to be able to follow the path of Your Obedience and pleasure, O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.”

Transliteration

ya batinan fi zuhurihi wa ya zahiran fi butunihi wa ya batinan laysa yakhfa wa ya zahiran laysa yura ya mawsufan la yablughu bikaynunatihi mawsufun wa la haddun mahdudun wa ya gha'iban ghayra mafqudin wa ya shahidan ghayra mashhudin yutlabu fayusabu wa lam yakhlu minhu alssamawatu wal-ardu wa ma baynahuma tarfata `aynin la yudraku bikayfin wa la yu'ayyanu bi-aynin wa la bihaythin

Translation

O He Who is intrinsic though He is evident! O He Who is evident though He is intrinsic! O He Who is intrinsic that is not missed! O He Who is evident but He cannot be seen! O He Who is described, but neither any other described thing nor can any boundary attain His Being! O He Who is absent but not lost! O He Who is present but not witnessed! When He is sought, He shall be obtained, and neither the heavens, nor the earth, nor can anything that is between them be empty of Him. He cannot be realized by asking ‘How is He?’ His place cannot be identified by asking, ‘Where is He?’ or ‘What is His place?’

Transliteration

anta nuru alnnuri wa rabbu al-arbabi ahatta bijami`i al-umuri subhana man laysa kamithlihi shay'un wa huwa alssami`u albasiru subhana man huwa hakadha wa la hakadha ghayruhu

Translation

You are verily the light of all lights and the Lord of all lords. You have comprehended all things. Glory be to Him Whose like is nonexistent, and He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing. Glory be to Him Who is in this state and nothing else can be ever in his state.
