Dua for the last 10 nights of the month of Ramadan

Transliteration

a`udhu bijalali wajhika alkarimi an yanqadhiya `anni shahru ramadhana aw yathlu`a alfajru min laylaty hadhihi wa laka qibaly tabi`atun aw dhanbun tu`adhdhibuny `alayhi

Translation

I seek the protection of the Majesty of Your Honorable Face against that the month of Ramadhan elapses Or dawn puts an end to this night but there is still an offense or a sin for which I am still liable and for which You will punish me.

Transliteration

allahumma addi `anna haqqa ma madha min shahri ramadhana waghfir lana taqsirana fihi wa tasallmhu minna maqbulan wa la tu´akhidhna bi-israfina `ala anfusina waj`alna mina almarhumina wa la taj`alna mina almahrumina

Translation

O Allah: (please) help us fulfill the right of the past days of the month of Ramadhan, And forgive us our shortcoming during it, And receive it from us with acceptance, And do not blame us for our extravagance in our affairs, And include us with those upon whom mercy is had, And do not include us with those deprived (of the awards of Ramadhan).

Transliteration

allahumma innaka qulta fi kitabika almunzali: (shahru ramadhana alladhy ‘unzila fihi alqur’anu hudan lilnnasi wa bayyinatin mina alhuda wal-furqani) fa-`azzamta hurmata shahri ramadhana bima anzalta fihi mina alqur’ani wa khasastahu bilaylati alqadri wa ja`altaha khayran min alfi shahrin allahumma wa hadhihi aiyyamu shahri ramadhana slat a’ukhra qadi anqadhat wa layalihi qad tasarramat wa qad sirtu ya ilahy minhu ila ma anta a`lamu bihi minny wa ahsa li`adadihi mina alkhalqi ajma`ina fa-as’aluka bima salaka bihi mala’ikatuka almuqarrabuna

Translation

O Allah: You have said in Your revealed Book: “The month of Ramadhan is that in which the Qur'an was revealed, a guidance to men and clear proofs of the guidance and the distinction.” You have thus rendered great the sanctity of this month of Ramadhan, Because You revealed the Qur'an in it, And You decided the Grand Night to be in this month exclusively, And You made it better than one thousand months. O Allah: the days of the month of Ramadhan are elapsing, And its nights are also elapsing, While I have become in the state that You, O my God, know better than I do, And You can count it more precisely than all the created beings. So, I beseech You in the name of that by which Your favorite angels,

Transliteration

wa anbiya’uka almursaluna wa `ibaduka alssalihuna an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin wa an tafukka raqabaty mina alnnari wa tudkhilany aljannata brahmatika wa an tatafadhdhala `alayya bi`afwika wa karamika wa tataqabbala taqarrubi wa tastajiba du`a’y wa tamunna `alayya bil-amni yawma alkhawfi min kulli hawlin a`dadtahu liyawmi alqiyamati ilahy wa a`udhu biwajhika alkarimi wa bijalalika al`azimi

Translation

And Your missioned Prophets, And Your righteous servants have besought You, That You may bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, And You may release me from Hellfire, And allow me to enter Paradise, by Your mercy, And confer upon me with Your pardon and Your generosity, And accept my seeking of nearness to You, And respond to my prayer, And bestow upon me with security on the Day of Dread Against all the horrors that You have prepared for the Resurrection Day. O my God: I seek the protection of Your Noble Face, And Your Great Majesty,

Transliteration

an tanqadhiya aiyyamu shahri ramadhana wa layalihi wa laka qibaly tabi`atun aw dhanbun tu´akhidhuny bihi aw khathyiatun turidu an taqtassaha minny lam taghfirha li sayyidy sayyidy sayyidi as’aluka ya la ilaha illa anta idh la ilaha illa anta in kunta radhita `anni fi hadha alshshahri fazdad `anni ridhan wa in lam takun radhita `anni famina al-ana fardha `anni ya arhama alrrahimina ya allahu ya ahadu ya samadu

Translation

Against that the days and nights of the month of Ramadhan elapse, While there is still a sin or an offense for which You may punish me, Or a wrongdoing for which You want to chastise me; and You have not yet forgiven them for me, O my Master; O my Master; O my Master; I beseech You, O He save Whom there is no god, Indeed, there is no god save You, If You have been pleased with me in this month, Then (please) increase Your satisfaction with me; And if You have not been pleased with me, Then (please) be satisfied with me from this moment, O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy. O Allah; O the One and Only; O the Besought of all;

Transliteration

ya man lam yalid wa lam yulad wa lam yakun lahu kufwan ahadun

Translation

O He Who begets not, nor is He begotten, And none is like Him

Transliteration

ya mulayyina alhadidi lidawuda `alayhi alssalamu ya kashifa aldhdhurri wal-kurabi al`izami `an ayyuba `alayhi alssalamu ay mufarrija hamm ya`quba `alayhi alssalamu ay munaffisa ghammi yusufa `alayhi alssalamu salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin kama anta ahluhu an tusalliya `alayhim ajma`ina waf`al by ma anta ahluhu wa la taf`al by ma ana ahluhu

Translation

O He Who made the iron pliant for (Prophet) David, peace be upon him; O He Who took off the harm and calamity that afflict (Prophet) Job, peace be upon him; O He Who relieved the sorrow of (Prophet) Jacob, peace be upon him; O He Who removed the grief of (Prophet) Joseph, peace be upon him: (Please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, As exactly as You are worthy of blessing them all, And (please) do to me that which befits You, And do not do to me that which I deserve.

Transliteration

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin waqsim li hilman yasuddu `anni baba aljahli wa hudan tamunn bihi `alayya min kulli dhalalatin wa ghinan tasudd bihi `anni baba kull faqrin wa quwwatan tarudd biha `anni kulla dha`fin wa `izzan tukrimuny bihi `an kulla dhullin wa rif`atan tarfa`uny biha `an kulli dha`atin wa amnan tarudd bihi `anni kulla khawfin wa `afiyatan tasturuny biha `an kulli bala‘in wa `ilman taftahu li bihi kulla yaqinin wa yaqinan tudhhibu bihi `anni kulla shakkin wa du`a‘an tabsuthu li bihi al-ijabata fi hadhihi allaylati wa fi hadhihi alssa`ati

Translation

O Allah: (please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, inculcate maturity (of thought and action) in me so that it stops me at the gate of ignorance help me with guidance to cut off all links with every type of waywardness; let me have enough means to barricade the gaps of poverty give me strength to avert weakness; raise me to noble heights to abstain from anything low and mean let me reach higher regions to leave behind humiliation take me to peaceful sanctuary to remain safe from all terrors; cover me with safety to shield from the impact of all calamities; open my mind with knowledge to cultivate sure belief; let me be certain of the indubitable truth to dispel all doubts; stimulate me to make use of prayer to draw Thy attention for fulfillment (of my desires) in this night,

Transliteration

alssa`ata alssa`ata alssa`ata ya karimu wa khawfan tanshuru li bihi kull rahmatin wa `ismatan tahulu biha bayny wa bina aldhdhunubi hatta a’ufliha biha `inda alma`sumina `indaka birahmatika yarhama alrrahimina

Translation

(in fact) at this very moment. O Generous Giver; put fear (of the consequences of breaking Thy laws) in my heart to deserve (Thy) all-embracing mercy; preserve incorruptible integrity in me so that it puts a barrier between me and wrongdoing till I reach the sanctuary of all (14) Infallibles, to be presented before Thee for obtaining Thy mercy, O the Most Merciful

Transliteration

ya mulija allayli fi alnnahari wa mulija alnnahari fi allayli wa mukhrija alhayy mina almayyti wa mukhrija almayyti mina alhayy ya raziqa man yasha‘u bighayri hisabin ya allahu ya rahmanu ya allahu ya rahimu ya allahu ya allahu ya allahu laka alasma‘u alhusna wal-amthalu al`ulia wal-kibrya‘u wal-ala‘u as’aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

Translation

O He Who causes the night to enter into the day And causes the day to enter into the night, And brings forth the living from the dead And brings forth the dead from the living, And He Who gives sustenance to whomever He please without measure: O Allah; O the All-beneficent; O Allah; O the All-merciful; O Allah; O Allah; O Allah; To You are the Most Excellent Names, And the most elevated examples, And greatness and bounties. I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

Transliteration

wa an taj`ala asmy fi hadhihi allaylati fi alssu`ada‘i wa ruhy ma`a alshshuhada‘i wa ihsany fi `illiyyina wa isa‘aty maghfuratan wa an tahaba li yaqinan tubashiru bihi qalbi wa ‘imanan yudhhibu alshshkk `anni wa turdiyany bima qasamta li wa atina fi alddunya hasanatan wa fi alakhirati hasanatan wa qina `adhaba alnnari alhariqi warzuqny fiha dhikraka wa shukraka wal-rraghbata ilayka wal-inabata wal-ttawfiqa lima waffaqta lahu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin `alayhi wa `alayhimu alssalamu

Translation

And to include my name with the list of the happiest ones, And to add my soul to the martyrs, And record my good deeds in the most exalted rank And to decide my offense to be forgiven, And to grant me certitude that fills in my heart And faith that removes dubiosity from me And to make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me And (please) grant us reward in this world And reward in the Hereafter, And save us from the torment of the burning Fire, And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You, And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and

Transliteration

allahumma la taj`alhu akhira al`ahdi min siyamina iyyahu fa-in ja`altahu faj`alny marhuman wa la taj`alny mahruman

Translation

O Allah: (please) do not make it the last of our fasting in this month; but if You decide so, then (please) make me enjoy (Your) mercy and do not make me deprived (of it)

Transliteration

Bismillaahir rah’maanir rah’eem. Fataqbbalahaa rabbuhaa biqaboolin h’asaninw wa ambatahaa nabaatan h’asananw wa kaffalahaa zakareeyaa. Kullamaa dakhala a’laihaa zakareeyal mih’raaba wajada i’ndahaa rizqaa. Qaala yaa maryamu annaa laki haadhaa qaalat huwa min i’ndillaahi innallaaha yarzuqu mayn yashaa-u bighairi h’isaab. s’adaq allaahul a’z’eem.

Translation

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. So her Lord accepted her with a good acceptance and made her grow up a good growing, and gave her into the charge of Zakaria; whenever Zakaria entered the sanctuary to (see) her, he found with her food. He said: O Maryam! whence comes this to you? She said: It is from Allah. Surely Allah gives to whom He pleases without measure.[10] Allah the Mighty, has said the truth.
