Short Duas - Ramadan Month First night / eve

Transliteration

allahumma rabba shahri ramadana munazzila alqur'ani hadha shahru ramadana alladhi anzalta fihi alqur'ana wa anzalta fihi ayatin bayyinatin min alhuda walfurqani allahumma urzuqna siyamahu wa a`inna `ala qiyamihi allahumma sallimhu lana wa sallimna fihi wa tasallamhu minna fi yusrin minka wa mu`afatin waj`al fima taqdi wa tuqaddiru min al-amri almahtumi

Translation

O Allah, the Lord of the month of Ramadan and the Revealer of the Qur'an. This is the month of Ramadan in which You revealed the Qur'an and revealed therein chapters of true guidance and distinction (between the right and the wrong). O Allah, make us observe fast in its days and remain awake in its nights to pray. O Allah, let it be peaceful for us, keep us in sound condition for it, and receive it from us with easiness and wellbeing. While taking decisions from among Your inevitable decisions

Transliteration

wa fima tafruqu min al-amri alhakimi fi laylati alqadri min alqada'i alladhi la yuraddu wa la yubaddalu an taktubani min hujjaji baytika alharami almabruri hajjuhum almashkuri sa`yuhum almaghfuri dhunubuhum almukaffari `anhum sayyi'atuhum waj`al fima taqdi wa tuqaddiru an tutila li fi `umri wa tuwassi`a `alayya min alrrizqi alhalali

Translation

and from among that which You decide from the wise affairs at the Destiny Night from the act that is neither rejected nor altered, (please) write my name in the list of those pilgrims to Your Sacred House whose pilgrimage receives Your approval, whose efforts are appreciated, whose sins are forgiven, and whose wrongdoings are overlooked. While making decisions and rendering possible things and events, (please) grant me long lifetime and my sustenance, making it from legal sources only.

Transliteration

allahumma ya man yamliku alttadbira wa huwa `ala kulli shay'in qadirun ya man ya`lamu kha'inata al-a`yuni wa ma tukhfi alssuduru wa tujinnu alddamiru wa huwa allatifu alkhabiru allahumma ij`alna mimman nawa fa`amila wa la taj`alna mimman shaqiya fakasila wa la mimman huwa `ala ghayri `amalin yattakilu allahumma sahhih abdanana min al`ilali wa a`inna `ala ma iftaradta `alayna min al`amali hatta yanqadiya `anna shahruka hadha wa qad addayna mafrudaka fihi `alayna allahumma a`inna `ala siyamihi

Translation

O Allah Who controls the management of all affairs and He has power over all things! O He Who knows the stealth of looks, that which breasts conceal, and that which selves hide and He is the Knower of subtle, the Aware! O Allah, (please do) include us with those who intend and carried out their intentions, and do not include us with those who are unhappy due to their laziness or with those who depend upon unreal hopes. O Allah, (please do) cure our bodies from ailments and help us carry out the deeds You have made incumbent upon us to do so that when this month, which is Your month, elapses, we shall have carried out all the duties that You have made obligatory upon us to do. O Allah, (please do) help us observe fasting in this month,

Transliteration

wa waffiqna liqiyamihi wa nashshitna fihi lilssalati wa la tahjubna min alqira'ati wa sahhil lana fihi ita'a alzzakati allahumma la tusallit `alayna wasaban wa la ta`aban wa la saqaman wa la `ataban allahumma urzuqna al-iftara min rizqika alhalali allahumma sahhil lana fihi ma qasamtahu min rizqika wa yassir ma qaddartahu min amrika waj`alhu halalan tayyiban naqiyyan min al-athami khalisan min al-asari wal-ajrami allahumma la tut`imna illa tayyiban ghayra khabithin wa la haramin

Translation

guide us to practice the acts of worship (perfectly), grant us vigor to offer prayers, do not preclude us from reciting (the Holy Qur'an), and make easy for us to give alms. O Allah, (please) do not inflict us with fatigue, tiredness, ailment, or injury. O Allah, (please do) grant us the food with which we break our fasting from Your sustenance that is legally gotten. O Allah, (please do) make easy for us the gaining of Your sustenance that You decide for us, facilitate for us gaining that which You decide for us, and make it pure, empty of sins, and free from offenses and flaws. O Allah, (please) do not feed us except the good that is neither bad nor forbidden.

Transliteration

waj`al rizqaka lana halalan la yashubuhu danasun wa la asqamun ya man `ilmuhu bilssirri ka`ilmihi bil-i`lani ya mutafaddilan `ala `ibadihi bil-ihsani ya man huwa `ala kulli shay'in qadirun wa bikulli shay'in `alimun khabirun alhimna dhikraka wa jannibna `usraka wa anilna yusraka wahdina lilrrashadi wa waffiqna lilssadadi wa`simna min albalaya wa sunna min al-awzari walkhataya

Translation

(Please do) let the sustenance that You decide for us be legal, carrying neither filth nor diseases. O He Who knows the secret in the same was as He knows the public! O He Who confers upon His servants with benevolence! O He Who has power over all things and has acquaintance with all things! (Please do) bestow upon us with (ceaseless) reference to You, keep us away Your difficulty, make us obtain Your ease, guide us to the right path, lead us to righteousness, protect us against misfortunes, and safeguard us against sins and faults.

Transliteration

ya man la yaghfiru `azima aldhdhunubi ghayruhu wa la yakshifu alssu'a illa huwa ya arhama alrrahimina wa akrama al-akramina salli `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi alttayyibina waj`al siyamana maqbulan wa bilbirri walttaqwa mawsulan wa kadhalika faj`al sa`yana mashkuran wa qiyamana mabruran wa qur'anana marfu`an wa du`a'ana masmu`an wahdina lilhusna

Translation

O He save Whom none forgives the grave sins and none can relieve from hardships! O most Merciful of all those who show mercy and most Generous of all those who show generosity! (Please do) send blessings to Muhammad and his Household the pure and decide our fasting to be acceptable and connected to piety and godliness. Similarly, (please do) decide our efforts to be praiseworthy, our acts of worship admissible, our reciting of the Qur'an raised (to the heavens), and our supplications responded. (Please do) guide us to the most excellent way,

Transliteration

wa jannibna al`usra wa yassirna lilyusra wa a`li lana alddarajati wa da`if lana alhasanati waqbal minna alssawma walssalata wasma` minna aldda`awati waghfir lana alkhati'ati wa tajawaz `anna alssayyi'ati waj`alna min al`amilina alfa'izina wa la taj`alna min almaghdubi `alayhim wa la alddallina hatta yanqadiya shahru ramadana `anna wa qad qabilta fihi siyamana wa qiyamana

Translation

save us from difficulties, facilitate for us the easy end, elevate our ranks, double the rewards for our good deeds, accept our fasting and prayers, react to our supplications, forgive our sins, overlook our wrongdoings, make us of the successful worshippers, and do not include us with those who earn Your anger nor of those who go astray so that when the month of Ramadan elapses, You shall have accepted our fasting and acts of worship,

Transliteration

wa zakkayta fihi a`malana wa ghafarta fihi dhunubana wa ajzalta fihi min kulli khayrin nasibana fa'innaka al-ilahu almujibu walrrabbu alqaribu wa anta bikulli shay'in muhitun

Translation

blessed our deeds, forgiven our sins, and doubled our shares from all good things. Verily, You are the God Who responds, the Lord Who is Nigh, and You encompass all things.

Transliteration

alllahumma inna hadha shahru ramadhana alladhy anzalta fihi alqur’ana, hudan lilnnasi wabayyinatin mina alhudi walfurqani qad hadhara. ya rabbi a`udhu bika fihi mina alshshaytani alrrajimi, wamin makrihi wahialihi, wakhida`ihi wahabaiilihi, wajunudihi wakhaylihi, warijlihi wawasauisihi, wamina aldhdhalali ba`da alhudi, wamina alkufri ba`da alimani, wamina alnnifaqi waalrria‘i waaljinaiati,

Translation

O Allah: This month of Ramadhan, in which You revealed the Qur'an, As guidance for people and clear proofs of true guidance and distinction (between the right and the wrong), Has commenced. O Allah: in this month, I seek Your protection against Satan, the accursed, And against his tricks and his ruses, And his deception and his trickeries, And his parties and his riding forces, And his on foot forces and his evil inspirations, And against straying off after being guided, And against atheism after belief, And against hypocrisy and showing off and felonies,

Transliteration

wamin sharri aluisuasi alkhannasi, alladhy yuwasuisu fy suduri alnnasi, mina aljinnati waalnnasi. alllhumma waarzuqny siamahu waqiamahu, waal`amala fihi bita`atika, wata`ati rasulika wa-uly alamri, `alayhi wa`alayhimu alssalamu, wama qarraba minka, wajannibny ma`asika, warzuqny fihi alttawbata walinabata wal-ijabata. wa'a`idhny fihi mina alghibaati waalkasali waalfashali, waastajib ly fihi alddu`a‘a,

Translation

And against the evil of the whisperings of the slinking Devil, Who whispers into the hearts of men; From among the jinn and the men. O Allah: and confer upon me with the fasting and the doing of acts of worship during this month, And with the doing of acts of obedience to You, And to Your Messenger and the Men in Authority, May peace be upon him and them, And the doing of whatever act that takes me near You, And (please) take me away from acts of disobedience to You. And confer upon me in this month with repentance, turning to You, and responding to Your instructions. And protect me in it against backbiting and lethargy and failure. And respond my prayers in it.

Transliteration

waasihha ly fihi jismy wa`aqli wafarrighny fihi lita`atika wama qarraba minka, ya karimu ya jawadu. ya karimu, salli `ali muhammadin wa`ali ahli bayti muhammadin `alayhi wa`alayhimu alssalamu, wakadhalika faf`al bina ya arhama alrrahimina.

Translation

And grant me well-being for my body and my intellect. And grant me time to do acts of obedience to You as well as acts that take me near You. O the All-generous; O the All-magnanimous. O the All-generous: (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, Peace be upon him and them, And do all that to us, O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

Transliteration

allahumma innahu qad dakhala shahru ramadana allahumma rabba shahri ramadana alladhi anzalta fihi alqur'ana wa ja`altahu bayyinatin min alhuda walfurqani allahumma fabarik lana fi shahri ramadana wa a`inna `ala siyamihi wa salawatihi wa taqabbalhu minna

Translation

O Allah, the month of Ramadan has begun. O Allah, the Lord of the month of Ramadan in which You have revealed the Qur'an making it guidance to people and clear proofs of the guidance and the distinction. So, O Allah, please bless us in the month of Ramadan, help us observe fasting and offer prayers in it, and accept from us.

Transliteration

allahumma innahu qad dakhala shahru ramadana allahumma rabba shahri ramadana alladhi anzalta fihi alqur'ana wa ja`altahu bayyinatin min alhuda walfurqani allahumma fabarik lana fi shahri ramadana wa a`inna `ala siyamihi wa salawatihi wa taqabbalhu minna

Translation

O Allah, the month of Ramadan has begun. O Allah, the Lord of the month of Ramadan in which You have revealed the Qur'an making it guidance to people and clear proofs of the guidance and the distinction. So, O Allah, please bless us in the month of Ramadan, help us observe fasting and offer prayers in it, and accept from us.

Transliteration

allahumma inni bika wa minka atlubu hajati wa man talaba hajatan ila alnnasi fa-inni la atlubu hajati illa minka wahdaka la sharika laka wa as'aluka bifadlika wa ridwanika an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi wa an taj`ala li fi `ami hadha ila baytika alharami sabilan hijjatan mabruratan mutaqabbalatan zakiyatan khalisatan laka taqarru biha `ayni wa tarfa`u biha darajati

Translation

O Allah, from You and by You, I beseech for settling my need. If others beg people for settling their needs, I ask none except You for settling my need; from You alone, since You have no partner with You. I thus implore You in the name of Your favor and Your pleasure, to send blessings to Muhammad and his Household and to choose for me a way to Your Holy House this year: a pilgrimage that is admitted, accepted, pure, and sincerely intended for You by which You delight me and raise my rank with You.

Transliteration

wa tarzuqani an aghudda basari wa an ahfaza farji wa an akuffa biha `an jami`i maharimika hatta la yakuna shay`un athara `indi min ta`atika wa khashyatika wal`amali bima ahbabta walttarki lima karihta wa nahayta `anhu waj`al dhalika fi yusrin wa yasarin wa `afiyatin wa ma an`amta bihi `alayya wa as'aluka an taj`ala wafati qatlan fi sabilika tahta rayati nabiyyika ma`a awliya'ika wa as'aluka an taqtula bi a`da'aka wa a`da'a rasulika wa as'aluka an tukrimani bihawani man shi'ta min khalqika

Translation

Confer upon me with the grace of making me cast my sight down (against what is illegal for me to look at), making me act chastely, and making me stop committing any deed that You have deemed unlawful so that nothing will be more preferred in my sight than obedience to You, fear of You, doing all that which You love, and avoiding all that which You have detested and warned against. (Please) make all that take place with easiness, lenience, and good health as well as the grace that You have bestowed upon me. I beseech You to cause me to die as martyr for Your sake, under the pennon of Your Prophet and in the line of Your intimate servants. I ask You to make me a means of killing Your enemies and the enemies of Your Messenger. I ask You to honor me through humiliating any one of Your created beings that You choose,

Transliteration

wa la tuhinni bikaramati ahadin min awliya'ika allahumma ij`al li ma`a alrrasuli sabilan hasbiya allahu ma sha'a allahu

Translation

and not to humiliate me through honoring any of Your intimate servants. O Allah, find me a way with the Messenger. Allah is Sufficient unto me! Only that which Allah wants shall take place.

Transliteration

Allahumma inni as'aluka bismikalladhi dana lahu kullu shay' Wa birahmatikallati wasi'at kulla shay' Wa bi'izzatikallati qaharat kulla shay' Wa bi'azamatikallati tawada'a laha kullu shay' Wa biquwwatikallati khada'a laha kullu shay' Wa bijabarutikallati ghalabat kulla shay' Wa bi'ilmikalladhi ahata bikulli shay' Ya Nuru Ya Quddus Ya Awwalu qabla kulli shay' Wa Ya Baqi ba'da kulli shay' Ya Allahu Ya Rahman Salli ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad

Translation

O Allah, I ask You by Your Name, to which everything is subservient. And by Your mercy that encompasses all things. And by Your might that overwhelms all things. And by Your greatness to which all things humble themselves. And by Your power to which all things submit. And by Your omnipotence that overcomes all things. And by Your knowledge that encompasses all things. O Light, O Holy. O First, before all things. And O Last, after all things. O Allah, O Most Gracious. Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.

Transliteration

Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati tughayyirun-ni'am Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati tunzilun-niqam Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati taqta'ur-raja' Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati tudilul-a'da' Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati taruddud-du'a' Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati tunzilul-bala' Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati tahbisu ghaythas-sama' Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati takshiful-ghita' Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati tu'ajjilul-fana' Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati turithun-nadam Waghfir liyadh-dhunuballati tahtikul-'isam Wa albisni dir'akal-hasinatal-lati la turamu

Translation

And forgive me the sins that change blessings. And forgive me the sins that bring down calamities. And forgive me the sins that cut off hope. And forgive me the sins that empower enemies. And forgive me the sins that repel supplication. And forgive me the sins that bring down affliction. And forgive me the sins that withhold the rain of the sky. And forgive me the sins that remove the covering. And forgive me the sins that hasten destruction. And forgive me the sins that bring about regret. And forgive me the sins that violate inviolability. And clothe me in Your fortified armor that cannot be reached.

Transliteration

Wa 'afini min sharri ma akhafu billayli wan-nahar Fi mustaqbali sanati hadhihi Allahumma rabba-ssamawati-ssab'i Wa rabbal-aradina-ssab'i wa ma fihinna Wa ma baynahunna wa rabbal-'arshil-'azim Wa rabba-ssab'il-mathani wal-quranil-'azim Wa rabba Israfila wa Mika'ila wa Jabra'il Wa rabba Muhammadin khatamin-nabiyyina wa sayyidil-mursalin As'aluka bika wa bima tasammayta bihi Ya 'Azimu antal-ladhi tamunnu bil-'azim Wa tadfa'u kulla mahdhur Wa tu'ti kulla jazil

Translation

And protect me from the evil of what I fear by night and by day. In the coming of this year. O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens. And Lord of the seven earths and what is in them. And what is between them, and Lord of the Great Throne. And Lord of the seven repeated verses and the Great Quran. And Lord of Israfil, Mika'il, and Jibril. And Lord of Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Master of Messengers. I ask You by You and by what You have named Yourself. O Great One, You are the One who bestows the great. And You repel every danger. And You give every generous gift.

Transliteration

Wa tuda'ifu minal-hasanatil-kathiri bil-qalil Wa taf'alu ma tasha' Ya Qadiru Ya Allahu Ya Rahman Salli ala Muhammadin wa ali Muhammad Wa albisni fi mustaqbali sanati hadhihi sitrak Wa adi' wajhi binurik Wa ahibbani bi mahabbatika Wa balligh bi ridwanaka wa sharifa kara'imik Wa jazila 'ata'ika min khayri ma 'indak Wa min khayri ma anta mu'tihi ahadan min khalqik Siwa man la ya'diluhu 'indaka ahadun fid-dunya wal-akhirah Wa albisni ma'a dhalika 'afiyatak

Translation

And You multiply good deeds, the many from the few. And You do what You will. O Powerful, O Allah, O Most Gracious. Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. And clothe me in the coming of this year with Your cover. And illuminate my face with Your light. And make me beloved with Your love. And cause me to reach Your pleasure and noble bounties. And abundant gifts from the best of what You have. And from the best of what You give to anyone of Your creation. Except one whom no one equals in Your sight in this world and the Hereafter. And clothe me with that, Your protection.

Transliteration

Ya mawdi'a kulli shakwa Wa ya shahida kulli najwa Wa ya 'alima kulli khafiyyah Wa ya dafi'a ma tasha'u min baliyyah Ya karimal-'afwi ya hasanat-tajawuz Tawaffani 'ala millati Ibrahima wa fitratihi Wa 'ala dini Muhammadin salla Allahu 'alayhi wa alihi wa sunnatihi Wa 'ala khayril-wafah Fatawaffani muwaliyan li'awliya'ik Mu'adiyan li'a'da'ik Allahumma wamna'ni min kulli 'amalin aw fi'lin aw qawlin yuba'iduni mink Wajlibni ila kulli 'amalin aw fi'lin aw qawlin yuqarribuni mink

Translation

O Place of every complaint. And O Witness of every secret discourse. And O Knower of every hidden thing. And O Repeller of whatever You will of affliction. O Generous in pardon, O Beautiful in overlooking. Take me in death upon the religion of Abraham and his natural disposition. And upon the religion of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his family, and his tradition. And upon the best of deaths. So take me in death as a friend to Your allies. And an enemy to Your enemies. O Allah, prevent me from every deed, action, or word that distances me from You. And draw me to every deed, action, or word that brings me closer to You.

Transliteration

Fi hadhihi-ssanati ya arhamar-rahimin Wamna'ni min kulli 'amalin aw fi'lin aw qawlin yakunu minni Akhafu su'a 'aqibatihi Wa akhafu maqataka iyyaya 'alayhi Hidhara an tasrifa wajhakal-karima 'anni Fa'astawjiba bihi naqsan min hazzin li 'indak Ya Ra'ufu Ya Rahim Allahummaj'alni fi mustaqbali hadhihi-ssanati fi hifzik Wa jiwarika wa kanafik Wa jallilni 'afiyatak Wa hab li karamatak 'Azza jaruka wa jalla thana'uk

Translation

In this year, O Most Merciful of the merciful. And prevent me from every deed, action, or word that comes from me. I fear its bad consequence. And I fear Your displeasure with me for it. For fear that You turn Your noble face away from me. So I deserve a decrease in my portion with You. O Kind, O Merciful. O Allah, make me in the coming of this year in Your protection. And Your neighborhood, and Your shelter. And envelop me in Your well-being. And grant me Your generosity. Your neighbor is mighty, and Your praise is sublime.

Transliteration

Wa la ilaha ghayruk Allahummaj'alni tabi'an lisalihi man mada min awliya'ik Wa alhiqni bihim Waj'alni musliman liman qala bis-sidqi 'alayka minhum Wa a'udhu bik Ya ilahi an tuhita bi khati'ati wa zulmi Wa israfi 'ala nafsi Wattiba'i li hawaya Washtighali bi shahawati Fayahula dhalika bayni wa bayna rahmatika wa ridwanik Fa'akuna mansiyyan 'indak Muta'arridan li sakhatika wa niqmatik

Translation

And there is no god but You. O Allah, make me a follower of the righteous of those who have passed on from Your allies. And join me with them. And make me one who submits to those who spoke the truth about You from among them. And I seek refuge in You. O my God, from my sin and injustice encompassing me. And my excess against myself. And my following of my desires. And my preoccupation with my passions. So that prevents me from Your mercy and Your pleasure. So I am forgotten by You. Exposed to Your anger and Your vengeance.

Transliteration

Allahumma waffiqni likulli 'amalin salihin tarda bihi 'anni Wa qarribni ilayka zulfa Allahumma kama kafayta nabiyyaka Muhammadan salawatuka 'alayhi wa alihi hawla 'aduwwih Wa farrajta hammahu wa kashafta karbah Wa sadaqtahu wa'daka wa anjazta lahu 'ahdak Allahumma bi dhalika fakfini hawla hadhihi-ssanati wa afatiha Wa asqamaha wa fitnataha Wa shururaha wa ahzanaha Wa diqal-ma'ashi fiha Wa ballighni birahmatika kamalal-'afiyah Bitamami dawamin-ni'mati 'indi ila muntaha ajali As'aluka su'ala man asa'a wa zalam

Translation

O Allah, grant me success in every righteous deed that pleases You. And draw me near to You. O Allah, as You sufficed Your Prophet Muhammad, Your blessings be upon him and his family, against the terror of his enemy. And You relieved his distress and removed his hardship. And You fulfilled Your promise to him and accomplished Your covenant for him. O Allah, by that, suffice me against the terror of this year and its afflictions. And its diseases and its trials. And its evils and its sorrows. And the difficulty of livelihood in it. And cause me to reach, by Your mercy, the perfection of well-being. With the completion of the continuation of blessing with me until the end of my term. I ask You with the asking of one who has done evil and wronged.

Transliteration

Wastakana wa'taraf An taghfira li ma mada minadh-dhunub Allati hasaratha hafazatuka Wa ahsatha kiramu mala'ikatika 'alayya Wa an ta'simaniy Ya Allahu Ya Rahman Salli ala Muhammadin wa ahli bayti Muhammad Wa atini kulla ma sa'altuk Wa raghibtu fihi ilayk Fa'innaka amartani bid-du'a'i wa takaffalta bil-ijabah Ya arhamar-rahimin

Translation

And submitted and confessed. That You forgive me what has passed of sins. Which Your guardians have recorded. And Your noble angels have counted against me. And that You protect me. O Allah, O Most Gracious. Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. And grant me all that I have asked You. And desired from You. For You have commanded me to supplicate and guaranteed a response. O Most Merciful of the merciful.

Transliteration

Allahumma inni as'aluka ya man laysa kamithlihi shay'un wa ya man laysa fis-samawatil-'ula wa la fil-aradin-as-sufla wa la fawqahunna wa la tahtahunna wa la baynahunna ilahun yu'badu ghayruka wahdaka la sharika lak ya wahidu bighayri tashbihin ya baqiyan ila ghayri ghayatin ya jabbaran fi sultanihi ya kabiran fi kibriya'ihi ya quddusan fi sama'ihi [fi asma'ihi] ya kariman fi 'ata'ihi ya jalilan fi baha'ihi ya hamidan fi fa'alihi ya malikan fib-tida'ihi waq-tidarihi ya 'aliman fi ihsa'ihi ya ghaliban fir-tifa'ihi ya 'azizan fim-tina'ihi ya jawadan fi ifdalihi ya dhas-sultan-ish-shamikh ya dhal-'izzil-badhikh ya dhal-mulkil-fakhir

Translation

O Allah, I ask You, O He to whom there is no comparable, and O He who is not in the high heavens nor in the lower earths, nor above them, nor below them, nor between them, there is no deity worshipped other than You alone, no partner to You. O Unique without comparison, O Everlasting without end, O Dominant in His sovereignty, O Great in His majesty, O Holy in His heaven [in His names], O Generous in His giving, O Majestic in His splendor, O Praiseworthy in His deeds, O King in His initiation and power, O Knower in His account, O Dominant in His ascendancy, O Mighty in His prevention, O Generous in His favor, O Possessor of the lofty sovereignty, O Possessor of the lavish dignity, O Possessor of the glorious kingdom,

Transliteration

ya dhal-baha'iz-zahiri ya man bihi yuhassinuz-zunun ya dhal-judi wal-karami wal-manni wal-kibriya'i ya baqiyan la yamut ya samadan la yat'amu ya qayyuman la yanam ya basiran la yartabu ya hafizan la yajhalu ya wasi'an la yutakallafu ya ghaniyan la yaftaqiru ya mani'an la yuramu ya 'azizan la yudamu ya qawiyan la yughlabu ya jabbaran la yukallamu ya muhtajiban la yura ya jabbaras-samawati wal-ard ya nuras-samawati wal-ard ya badi'as-samawati wal-ard ya akramal-akramin ya ajwadal-ajwadayn ya arhamar-rahimin ya ghiyathal-mustaghithin ya waliyyal-mu'minin ya 'izzan-nasirina wadh-dhakirin

Translation

O Possessor of the radiant splendor, O He through whom good assumptions are made, O Possessor of generosity, nobility, favor, and grandeur, O Everlasting who does not die, O Eternal who does not eat, O Sustainer who does not sleep, O Seeing who does not doubt, O Guardian who does not ignore, O Expansive who does not exert, O Wealthy who does not need, O Impregnable who cannot be attacked, O Mighty who is not wronged, O Strong who is not overcome, O Compeller who is not spoken to, O Hidden who is not seen, O Compeller of the heavens and the earth, O Light of the heavens and the earth, O Originator of the heavens and the earth, O Most Generous of the generous, O Most Giving of the givers, O Most Merciful of the merciful, O Relief of those seeking relief, O Guardian of the believers, O Honor of those giving victory and those remembering,

Transliteration

ya sabilas-salihin ya mufarrijan 'anil-makrubin ya kathirar-raghibina ilayhi ya ghawthal-malhufin ya khayra man da'ahul-da'un as'aluka an tusalliya 'ala muhammadin wa ali muhammad wa an taj'ala 'abdaka min a'zami 'ibadikal-yawma fima taqsimuhu min nurin tahdi bih wa rahmatin tanshuruha wa rizqin tabsutuh wa durrin takshifuhu wa bala'in tasrifuh wa fitnatin takuffuha wa thawabin taktubuhu wa amrin tusahhiluh innaka 'ala kulli shay'in qadirun ya arhamar-rahimin.

Translation

O Way of the righteous, O Reliever of the distressed, O Abundantly sought after, O Refuge of the distraught, O Best of those called upon. I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and to make Your servant among the greatest of Your servants today in what You distribute of light by which You guide, and mercy which You spread, and provision You extend, and harm You unveil, and affliction You avert, and temptation You prevent, and reward You write, and matter You facilitate. Indeed, You are over all things competent, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

Transliteration

anta yā sayyidī fī hadhihi l-laylati ḥāmi l-ummati wa khafīruhum ,. wa akramu l-khalā'iqi , tuḥibbu ḍ-ḍwiyāfata wa māmūrun mina l-lahi jalla jalāluhu bi l-ijārati , ʿabduka ḍayfu l-lahi wa ḍayfuka , wa jāru l-lahi wa jāruka fa ajir ʿabdaka wa aḍifhu ,. wajʿal qirāya minka l-laylata an tudkhilanī fī hammika wa ḥizbikā , wa duʿā'ika wa ḥimāyatika , wa shafāʿatika wa wilāyatika wa shīʿatika .. warghab ila l-lahi lī fī karami ʿafwihi , wa qabūlihi , wa riḍāhu ,. wa an yanẓura ilayya naẓratan raḥīmatan biha ʿannī riḍan lā sakhaṭa ʿalayya baʿdahu abadan , wa yulḥiqunī bi shīʿatikumu l-muqarrabīna , wa awliyā'ikumu s-sābiqīna , fa innahu lā yaruddu shafāʿataka , fa inna laka ʿinda l-lahi shānan mina sh-shāni , wa qadran mina l-qadri , fabiḥaqwi hadha sh-shāni l-ladhī jaʿala l-lahu laka. yā mawlāya asaluka an tasmaḥa fī ḥaqī bi mā sāltuka , wa tazīdanī bi miqdāri karāmatika , wa lā tanẓur yā sayyidī ila ḥaqāratī wa dhulla maqāmī wa sū'a ḥālī , fa inna l-kirāma lā yaʿẓumu ʿalayhim fī qira ḍayfihim shay'un mina l-ʿaṭāyā wa lā yuqaddirūna karāmatahum wa ʿaṭāyāhum bi qadri ḍ-ḍuyūfi s-sā'ilīna , fa inna l-ʿaṭā'a bi qadri l-muʿṭī , wa l-qira bi qadri l-muḍīfi.. sādatī antumu l-ladhīna ʿallamtumu l-kirāma adāba l-karāmati , wa l-ajjadu shīmu l-jūdi wa s-samāḥati , in dhukira l-jūdu kuntum awwalahu wa akhirahu , wa aṣlahu wa farʿahu wa muntahāhu , wa in qīla l-karamu fa antum maʿdinuhu wa māwahu lā yaruddu sā'ilakum wa lā yakhību amilakum ..

Translation

O' my masters! Tonight you are the support and shelter of everyone, you are the most exalted and generous among all exalted and generous ones, you like inviting guests and want to be generous towards them;Also Allah (the Glorious, the Exalted), has commanded you to provide refuge and shelter forthe wretched and unsheltered people;now here is one of the Allah's unsheltered servants who has came to attend your as well as Allah's feast; has attached his heart upon your support and well as Allah's support and hospitality;be hospitable and allow him to sit upon the table of your generosity and treat him in the following manner: Consider him as your friend and supporter and do not deprive me from your best support and endeavours; do not deprive him from your prayer, backing, and intercession ;ask Allah (the Glorious, the Exalted), not to deprive me from His Forgiveness and Benevolence; His mercy and compassion; then look at him with love and pleasure;becoming so happy and pleased with him that after that He should never become unhappy and angry with him, should regard him as His sincere friend and worthy servant.... I ask you by your splendour and majesty,which Allah (the Glorious, the Exalted), has bestowed upon you, reward me more than whatever I have asked in accordance with your generosity; don't look upon my worthlessness, disobedience, and deviations, because the generosity of the generous ones and the hospitality shown by the exalted ones are in accordance with their generosity and exaltedness and not in proportion with the worth and merit of their requester. You reward in proportion with the giver and not on the worth and merit of their recipients O' my masters! You are the ones who have taught greatness to the exalted ones, generosity to the generous ones, and benevolence to the benevolent ones;

Transliteration

sādatī antumu l-ladhīna qultum : mathalu l-maʿrūfi mathalu l-maṭari , yuṣību l-barra wa l-fājira , fa lā tamnaʿūnī saḥā'iba ra'afatikum , falyuṣibnī amṭāru jūdikum , fa'innī min jūdikum jā'iʿun , wa min karamikum ẓamānun , lā tarḍū li ḍayfikum an yabīta fī ḥimākum jā'iʿan ḍamānan.. fa anta yā mawlāya mata mā manaʿtanī qirāka , bi tu ṭāwiyan fī ḥimāka , wa wa ṣaltu ila l-halāki , ḥāshāka min hadhihi l-muʿāmalati maʿa ḍayfika thumma ḥāshāka ..

Translation

as you yourself have proclaimed:"Your generosity and reward like rain water pour upon the righteous ones as well as upon the bad ones, likewise;" saturate me with the rain of your generosity, do not deprive me from the rain of your generosity, do not deprive me from the pouring of your love because I am thirsty for your generosity and hungry for your love and affection;you don't like that your guests who have taken shelter in your threshold and have tied their hopes upon your benevolence should remain thirsty and hungry. O' my masters! If you will deprive me from your hospitality I will die with hunger under your shelter sitting upon the side of your tablecloth.
