Transliteration

allahumma al`an qatalata ameeri almu´mineena

Translation

O Allah: (please do) withdraw your mercy from the killers of the Commander of the Believers (Ameer al-Mu'mineen Imam Ali)

Transliteration

allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin waqsim li hilman yasuddu `anni baba aljahli wa hudan tamunn bihi `alayya min kulli dalalatin wa ghinan tasudd bihi `anni baba kull faqrin wa quwwatan tarudd biha `anni kulla da`fin wa `izzan tukrimuny bihi `an kulla dhullin wa rif`atan tarfa`uny biha `an kulli da`atin wa amnan tarudd bihi `anni kulla khawfin wa `afiyatan tasturuny biha `an kulli bala‘in wa `ilman taftahu li bihi kulla yaqinin wa yaqinan tudhhibu bihi `anni kulla shakkin wa du`a‘an tabsutu li bihi al-ijabata fi hadhihi allaylati wa fi hadhihi alssa`ati

Translation

O Allah: (please) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, And decide for me forbearance that blocks the door to ignorance against me, And guidance that You confer upon me against any item of straying off, And affluence that blocks the door to all poverty against me, And power due to which You repel any weakness from me, And might with which You honor me against all humiliation, And sublimity through which You exalt me against all humbleness, And security through which You protect me against any fear, And well-being by which You cover me against any ailment, And knowledge due to which You open before me all certitude, And certitude due to which You remove from me any dubiosity, And prayer through which You expand Your response to me at this very night and at this very hour,

Transliteration

alssa`ata alssa`ata alssa`ata ya karimu wa khawfan tanshuru li bihi kull rahmatin wa `ismatan tahulu biha bayny wa bina aldhdhunubi hatta a’ufliha biha `inda alma`sumina `indaka birahmatika yarhama alrrahimina

Translation

This very hour, this very hour, this very hour, O the All-generous, And apprehension due to which You spread over me all items of mercy, And shelter due to which You intervene between my sins and me, So that I shall succeed in the view of the Infallible ones with You, Out of Your mercy, O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

Transliteration

ya mulija allayli fi alnnahari wa mulija alnnahari fi allayli wa mukhrija alhayy mina almayyti wa mukhrija almayyti mina alhayy ya raziqa man yasha‘u bighayri hisabin ya allahu ya rahmanu ya allahu ya rahimu ya allahu ya allahu ya allahu laka alasma‘u alhusna wal-amthalu al`ulia wal-kibrya‘u wal-ala‘u as’aluka an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

Translation

O He Who causes the night to enter into the day And causes the day to enter into the night, And brings forth the living from the dead And brings forth the dead from the living, And He Who gives sustenance to whomever He please without measure: O Allah; O the All-beneficent; O Allah; O the All-merciful; O Allah; O Allah; O Allah; To You are the Most Excellent Names, And the most elevated examples, And greatness and bounties. I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

Transliteration

wa an taj`ala asmy fi hadhihi allaylati fi alssu`ada‘i wa ruhy ma`a alshshuhada‘i wa ihsany fi `illiyyina wa isa‘aty maghfuratan wa an tahaba li yaqinan tubashiru bihi qalbi wa ‘imanan yudhhibu alshshkk `anni wa turdiyany bima qasamta li wa atina fi alddunya hasanatan wa fi alakhirati hasanatan wa qina `adhaba alnnari alhariqi warzuqny fiha dhikraka wa shukraka wal-rraghbata ilayka wal-inabata wal-ttawfiqa lima waffaqta lahu muhammadan wa ala muhammadin `alayhi wa `alayhimu alssalamu

Translation

And to include my name with the list of the happiest ones, And to add my soul to the martyrs, And record my good deeds in the most exalted rank And to decide my offense to be forgiven, And to grant me certitude that fills in my heart And faith that removes dubiosity from me And to make me feel satisfied with that which You decide for me And (please) grant us reward in this world And reward in the Hereafter, And save us from the torment of the burning Fire, And (also) confer upon us at this night Your mentioning, thanking You, and desiring for You, And turning to You, and success to that to which You led Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, peace be upon him and them.

Transliteration

ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illallahu wah’dahu laa shareeka lahu wa ash-hadu anna muhammadan a’bduhu wa rasooluhu wa ash-hadu annal jannata ‘haqqun wan-naara ‘haqqun wa annas-sa’ata aatiyatun laa rayba feeha wa annallahu yab’athu man fil quboor wa ash-hadu annar-rabba rabbi laa shareeka lahu wa la walada lahu wa la waalida lahu wa ash-hadu annahul fa’aalu lima yureedu wal qaadiru ‘alaa kulli shayin was-‘sani’u lima yureedu wal qahiru man yasha-u war-rafi’u man yasha-u maalikul mulki wa raaziqul ‘ibaadil ghafoorur-rahimul-alimul-halimu ash-hadu ash-hadu ash-hadu ash-hadu ash-hadu ash-hadu annaka la yablighu sayyidi kadhalika wa fawqa dhalikal wasifoona kunha ‘adhamatik allahumma salli ‘alaa muhammadin wa aalihi wahdini wa la tudhillani b’ada idh hadaytani

Translation

I bear witness that there is no God but God. He is One and there are no partners for Him I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Prophet I bear witness that Paradise is true and Hell is true And I bear witness that the Hour is sure to come and there is no doubt about it and that God shall resurrect the dead from the graves I bear witness that the Lord is my Lord. There are no partners for Him. He has not been born and nor shall He have a child. I bear witness that He does whatever He Wills. He has Power over everything He can create whatever He wills. He is the Subduer who can do what He wills! The Exalter of whom He pleases! Lord of Power (and Rule)! Provider of Sustenance for the people! All-Forgiving, Merciful! The Knowledgeable! The Forbearing! I bear witness, I bear witness, I bear witness, I bear witness, I bear witness, I bear witness that You-my Master-are so and much more and You are He whose depth of Grandeur those who extol cannot reach O God, Please send your blessings on Muhammad and His Household Please guide me and do not let me be deviated after having guided me.

innaka antal hadil mahdi

Translation

For surely, You are the Guide.

la ilaha illa anta muqalliba alqulubi wa alabsari, la ilaha illa anta khaliqa alkhalqi bila hajatin fika ilayhim, la ilaha illa anta mubdiia alkhalqi wa la yanqusu min mulkika shay‘un, la ilaha illa anta ba`itha man fy alquburi, la ilaha illa anta mudabbira alaumuri, la ilaha illa anta dayyana wa jabbara aljababirati. la ilaha illa anta mujriya alma‘i fy alssakhrati alssamma‘i, la ilaha illa anta mujriya alma‘i fy alnnabati, la ilaha illa anta mukuuina ta`mi alththimari, la ilaha illa anta muhsiya `adadi alqatri wa ma tahmiluhu alssahabu,

Translation

There is no god save You, the Transformer of hearts and sights There is no god save You, the Creator of the creatures, While You do not need them. There is no god save You, the Originator of the creation. And nothing of creation decreases any of Your Kingdom. There is no god save You, the Resurrector of those who are in graves. There is no god save You, the Manager of all affairs. There is no god save You, the Master and the most Omnipotent of all those who claim omnipotence. There is no god save You. It is You Who causes water to flow in hard rocks. There is no god save You. It is You Who causes water to flow in plants. There is no god save You, the Maker of the flavors of fruits. There is no god save You. It is You Who keeps count of the number of the drops of rain and what is loaded by the clouds.

Transliteration

la ilaha illa anta muhsiya `adadi ma tajry bihi alrriiahu fy alhawa‘i, la ilaha illa anta muhsiya ma fiy albihari min ratbin wa yabisin, la ilaha illa anta muhsiya ma yadubbu fy zulumati albihari wa fy atbaqi alththari. as-aluka biasmika alladhy sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw ista-tharta bihi `ala `ilmi alghaybi `indaka, wa as-aluka bikulli asmin sammaka bihi ahadun min khalqika, min nabiiiin aw siddiqin aw shahidin aw ahadin min malaiikatika, wa as-aluka biasmika alladhy idha du`ita bihi ajabta, wa idha suiilta bihi a`tayta. wa as-aluka bihaqqika `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi salawatuka `alayhim wa barakatuka, wa bihaqqihimu alladhy awjabtahu `ala nafsika, wa analtahum bihi fadhlaka,

Translation

There is no god save You. It is You Who keeps count of the number of what the wind carry in the air. There is no god save You. It is You Who keeps count of what is there in oceans—the wet and the dry. There is no god save You. It is You Who keeps count of whatever creeps in the darknesses of oceans and in the layers of the earth. I beseech You by Your Name that You have used for Yourself Or You have stored for Yourself in the hidden knowledge of You. And I beseech You by every name that is ascribed to You by any of Your created beings: Such as the Prophets, the veracious ones, the martyrs, or any of Your angels. And I beseech You by Your Name that You answer anyone who beseeches You by it, And You respond to anyone who asks You by it. And I beseech You in the name of the duty that is incumbent upon Muhammad and his Household—Your blessings and benedictions be upon them—toward You, And by the duty that You have made incumbent upon Yourself toward them, And through which You granted them Your favors,

Transliteration

an tusallia `ala muhammadin `abdika wa rasulika aldda`iy ilayka biidhnika wa sirajika alssati`i bayna `ibadika, fy ardhika wa samaiika, wa ja`altahu rahmatan lil`alamina, nuran istadha‘a bihi almu´minuna, fabashsharana bijazili thawabika wa andharana alalima min `adhabika. ashhadu annahu qad ja‘a bialhaqqi min `indi alhaqqi wa saddaqa almursalina, wa ashhadu anna alladhina kadhdhabuhu dhaiiqw al`adhabi alalimi. as-aluka ya allahu ya allahu ya allahu, ya rabbahu ya rabbahu ya rabbahu,

Translation

(please) bless Muhammad, Your servant and Your Messenger: The caller to You by Your permission, And Your incandescent lantern from among Your servants In Your lands and Your heavens, And he whom You made mercy for the peoples, And light through whom the believers have obtained their light; He this conveyed to us the good tidings about Your abundant reward And also warned us against Your painful chastisement. I bear witness that he carried to us the truth from the True God, and he verified the Messengers. And I bear witness that those who belied him shall certainly taste the painful chastisement. I beseech You, O Allah; O Allah; O Allah; O our God; O our God; O our God;

Transliteration

ya sayyidy ya sayyidy ya sayyidi, ya mawlaia ya mawlaia ya mawlaia, as-aluka fy hadhihi alghadaati an tusallia `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin wa an taj`alany min awfari `ibadika wa saiilika nasibaan, wa an tamunna `alayya bifakaki raqabaty mina alnnari, ya arhama alrrahimina. wa as-aluka bijami`i ma saaltuka wa ma lam asalka min `azimi jalalika, ma law `alimtuhu lasaltuka bihi, an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi, wa an tadhana lifaraji man bifarajihi faraju awliya’ika wasfiiaiika min khalqika, wa bihi tubidu alzzalimina wa tuhlikuhum, `ajjil dhalika ya rabba al`alamina,

Translation

O my Master; O my Master; O my Master; O my Lord; O my Lord; O my Lord. I beseech You in this early morning to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, And to include me with Your servants and beseechers upon whom You confer the most abundant of Your rewards, And to confer upon me with releasing me from Hellfire, O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy. And I beseech You to settle for me all that which I asked from You and also all that which I did not ask from You; that which belongs to Your splendid majesty, That which I would ask from You if I knew it, (and I beseech You to) send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household, And to permit the Relief of him whose relief achieves the relief of Your intimate servants and Your select ones from among Your created beings, And through whom You will terminate and eradicate the oppressors. (Please) hasten that, O the Lord of the worlds.

Transliteration

wa a`tiny su´ly ya dhaljalali walikrami fy jami`i ma saltuka li`ajili alddunia wa ajili alakhirati. ya man huwa aqrabu ilayya min habli aluariidi, aqilny `athrati wa aqilny biqadha‘i hawaiiji, ya khaliqy wa ya raziqy wa ya ba`ithi, wa ya muhiy `izamy wa hiya ramimun, salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin wastajib ly du`aiy ya arhama alrrahimina.

Translation

And (please) grant me my requests, O the Lord of majesty and honor, As regarding all that which I have asked You from my needs for this worldly life and the Hereafter. O He Who is nearer to me than my life-vein: (Please) overlook my slips, And revive me through settling my needs. O my Creator; O the Source of my sustenance; O my Resurrector; O He Who shall give life to my bones when they are rotten: (Please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, And respond to my prayer; O the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.
