Dua of Sayeda Fatima (sa) after Asr Salaat

Transliteration

subhaana man ya’lamo jawaarehal qoloob subhaana man yohsee a’dadaz zonoob subhaana man laa yakhfaa a’layhe khaafeyatun fil arze wa laa fis samaa’ wal hamdo lillaahil lazee lam yaj-a’lnee kaaferan le-an-o’meh wa laa jaahedan le-fazleh fal-khayro feehe, wa howa ahloh wal hamdo lillaahe a’laa hujjatehil baaleghate a’laa jamee-e’ man khalaq mimman ataa-a’hu wa mimman a’saah fa-in rahema famin manneh wa in a’aqaba fa-bemaa qaddamat aydeehim wa mal laaho be-zallaamin lil-a’beed wal hamdo lillaahil a’liyyil makaan

Translation

Glorified be the One Who is aware of the inner workings of the hearts. Glorified be the One Who counts the number of sins. Glorified be the One from Whom nothing is hidden in the earth or in the heavens. All praise is for Allah, Who did not make me an ingrate towards His blessings, nor a denier of His grace; for all goodness resides in Him, and He alone is worthy of it. All praise is for Allah for His decisive proof over all creation, over those who obey Him and those who disobey Him. If He shows mercy, it is purely from His favor; and if He punishes, it is for what their own hands have put forth; and Allah is never unjust to His servants. All praise is for Allah, the Lofty in rank,

Transliteration

war rafee-i’l bunyaan ash-shadeedil arkaan al-a’zeezis sultaan al-a’zeemish shaan al-waa-zehil burhaan ar-raheemir rahmaan al-mun-e’mil mannaan al-hamdo lillaahil lazeeh tajaba a’n kulle makhlooq yaraaho be-haqeeqatir roboobiyyate wa qudratil wahdaaniyyah falam tudrikhul absaar wa lam tohit behil akhbaar wa lam yo-a’yyinho miqdaar

Translation

the Supreme in structure, the Firm in foundation, the Mighty in sovereignty, the Grand in majesty, the Clear in manifest proof, the Merciful, the Compassionate, the Bestower of favors, the Benefactor. All praise is for Allah Who veiled Himself from every creature, Who observes all through the absolute reality of His Lordship and power of His Oneness; no eyes can perceive Him, no accounts can fully encompass Him, no measurement can quantify Him,

Transliteration

wa lam yatawahhamhote’baar le-annahul malekul jabbaar allaahumma qad taraa makaanee wa tas-ma-o’ kalaamee wa tattale-o’ a’laa amree wa ta’lamo maa fee nafsee wa laysa yakhfaa a’layka shay-un min amree wa qad sa-a’yto elayka fee talebatee wa talabto elayka fee haajatee wa tazarra’to elayka fee mas-alatee wa sa-altoka le-faqrin wa haajah wa zillatin wa zeeqah

Translation

and no estimation can ever imagine Him; because He is the Sovereign King, the Irresistible. O Allah, You surely see where I am, You hear my speech, You are fully aware of my affair, You know what is within my soul, and nothing of my state is hidden from You. I have hastened toward You with my petition, I have turned to You in my need, I have pleaded humbly to You in my supplication, and I have begged You out of poverty and sheer need, out of humility and distress,

Transliteration

wa boasin wa maskanah wa antar rabbul jawaado bil-maghferah tajedo man to-a’zzebo ghayree wa laa ajedo man yaghfero lee ghayrak wa anta ghaniyyun a’n a’zaabee wa anaa faqeerun elaa rahmatek fa-as-aloka be-faqree elayka wa ghenaaka a’nnee wa be-qudrateka a’layya wa qillatim tenaa-e’e mink an taj-a’la do-a’a-ee haazaa do-a’a-an waafaqa minka ejaabah wa majlesee haazaa majlesan waafaqa minka rahmah wa talebatee haazehi talebatan waafaqat najaahaa wa maa khifto u’sratahu menal omoore fayassirh

Translation

and out of hardship and destitution. And You are the Lord Who is bountiful in forgiveness; You can easily find others besides me to punish, yet I can find no one to forgive me other than You; You have no need to chastise me, while I am utterly in need of Your mercy. So I ask You by my poverty before You and Your self-sufficiency above me, and by Your absolute power over me and my inability to resist You, that You make this supplication of mine met with Your acceptance, this gathering of mine blessed with Your mercy, and this request of mine fulfilled with success. Whichever affairs I fear will be difficult, make them easy;

Transliteration

wa maa khifto a’jzahu menal ash-yaa-e fawasse’-h wa man araadanee be-soo-in menal khalaa-eqe kullehim fagh-libh aameena yaa arhamar raahemeen wa hawwin a’layya maa khasheeto shiddatah wak shif a’nnee maa khasheeto kurbatah wa yassir lee maa khasheeto u’sratah aameena yaa rabbal a’alameen allaahumman ze-i’l u’jba war reyaa-a wak kibra wal baghy wal hasada waz za’fa wash shakka wal wahn waz zurra wal asqaama wal khizlaan wal makra wal khadee-a’ta wal baliyyata wal fasaad min sam-e’e wa basaree wa jamee-e’ jawaarehee

Translation

whichever matters I fear I am incapable of handling, widen them for me; and whoever among all creation intends evil against me, overcome them. Amen, O Most Merciful of the merciful! Ease for me that whose hardship I fear, remove from me that whose distress I dread, and make smooth for me that whose severity I worry about. Amen, O Lord of the worlds! O Allah, strip away self-admiration, ostentation, pride, and oppression, envy, weakness, doubt, and sluggishness, harm, ailments, and abandonment, deceit, trickery, affliction, and corruption from my hearing, my sight, and all my limbs;

Transliteration

wa khuz be-naaseyatee elaa maa tohibbo wa tarzaa yaa arhamar raahemeen allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammad wagh fir zanbee was tur a’wratee wa aamin raw-a’tee waj bur moseebatee wa aghne faqree wa yassir haajatee wa aqilnee a’sratee waj ma’ shamlee wak fenee maa ahammanee

Translation

and take hold of my forelock toward that which You love and are pleased with, O Most Merciful of the merciful! O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad; forgive my sins, veil my faults, calm my anxieties, mend my brokenness in calamity, enrich my poverty, and facilitate my needs. Overlook my lapses, gather my scattered affairs together, and suffice me in whatever causes me worry,

Transliteration

wa maa ghaaba a’nnee, wa maa hazaranee wa maa atakhawwafohu mink yaa arhamar raahemeen allaahumma fawwazto amree elayk wa aljaato zahree elayk wa aslamto nafsee elayka bemaa janayto a’layhaa faraqan minka wa khawfan wa tam-a’a wa antal kareemul lazee laa yaqta-u’r rajaa’ wa laa yokhayyebud do-a’a’ fa-as-aloka be-haqqe ibraaheema khaleelek wa moosaa kaleemek wa e’esaa roohek

Translation

in whatever is absent from me and whatever is before me, and in all that I fear from You, O Most Merciful of the merciful! O Allah, I have entrusted my affairs entirely to You, I have leaned my back against Your support, and I surrender myself to You despite the sins I committed against it, out of awe of You, fear, and longing for Your favor. You are the Generous Lord Who never severs hope, and never disappoints supplication. So I ask You by the right of Ibrahim, Your intimate friend, and Musa, the one with whom You spoke directly, and Isa, Your spirit,

Transliteration

wa mohammadin sallal laaho a’layhe wa aalehi safiyyeka wa nabiyyek allaa tasrefa wajhakal kareema a’nnee hattaa taqbala tawbatee wa tarhama a’bratee wa taghfera lee khatee-atee yaa arhamar raahemeena wa yaa ahkamal haakemeen allaahummaj a’l saaree a’laa man zalamanee wan surnee a’laa man a’adaanee allaahumma laa taj-a’l moseebatee fee deenee wa laa taj-a’lid dunyaa akbara hammee wa laa mablagha i’lmee elaahee asleh lee deeneyal lazee howa i’smato amree wa asleh lee dunyaayal latee feehaa ma-a’ashee

Translation

and Muhammad—peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family—Your chosen one and Your Prophet: do not turn Your noble face away from me until You have accepted my repentance, shown mercy to my tears, and forgiven my misdeeds, O Most Merciful of the merciful, O Best of Judges! O Allah, let my redress fall upon the one who wronged me, and grant me victory over whoever shows hostility toward me. O Allah, let not my affliction strike my faith, and do not let worldly life become my greatest concern nor the limit of my knowledge. My God, reform for me my religion, which is the safeguard of my affair; reform for me my worldly life, wherein lies my livelihood;

Transliteration

wa asleh lee aakherateyal latee elayhaa ma-a’adee waj a’lil hayaata zeyaadatan lee min kulle khayr waj a’lil mawta raahatan lee min kulle sharr allaahumma innaka a’fuwwun tohibbul a’fwa fa’fo a’nnee allaahumma ahyenee maa a’limtal hayaata khayran lee wa tawaffanee ezaa kaanatil wafaato khayran lee wa as-aloka khasyataka fil ghaybe wash shahaadah wal a’dla fil ghazabe war rezaa wa as-alokal qasda fil faqre wal ghenaa wa as-aloka na-e’eman laa yabeed wa qurrata a’ynin laa tanqate-o’ wa as-alokar rezaa ba’dal qazaa’

Translation

and reform for me my Hereafter, to which is my ultimate return. Make life for me an increase in every good, and make death a release for me from every evil. O Allah, You are indeed Pardoning and love to pardon, so pardon me. O Allah, keep me alive as long as You know life to be good for me, and take my soul when death is better for me. I ask of You the fear of You in secret and in public, and justice in moments of both anger and contentment. I ask of You moderation in both poverty and wealth; I ask of You bliss that never perishes, and a coolness of the eyes that never ceases; I ask of You contentment after the decree has passed,

Transliteration

wa as-aloka lazzatan nazare elaa wajhek allaahumma innee as-tahdeeka le-irshaade amree wa a-o’ozo beka min sharre nafsee allaahumma a’milto soo-an wa zalamto nafsee fagh-fir lee innahu laa yaghferuz zonooba illaa ant allaahumma innee as-aloka ta’jeela a’afeyatek wa sabran a’laa baliyyatek wa khoroojan menad dunyaa elaa rahmatek allaahumma innee ush-hedok wa ush-hedo malaa-ekataka wa hamalata a’rshek wa ush-hedo man fis samaawaate wa man fil arz annaka antal laaho laa elaaha illaa anta wahdaka laa shareeka lak

Translation

and I ask of You the sheer delight of gazing upon Your Noble Countenance. O Allah, I seek Your guidance to direct my affairs rightly, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own self. O Allah, I have done evil and wronged my own self, so forgive me; for none can forgive sins except You. O Allah, I ask You for the swift arrival of Your wellbeing, patience during Your trials, and an exit from this worldly life into Your mercy. O Allah, I call You to witness, and I call Your angels and the bearers of Your Throne to witness, and I call to witness whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth: that You are Allah, there is no deity except You alone, without partner;

Transliteration

wa anna mohammadan a’bdoka wa rasooloka sallal laaho a’layhe wa aaleh wa as-aloka be-anna lakal hamda laa elaaha illaa ant ba-dee-o’s samaawaate wal arz yaa kaa-eno qabla an yakoona shay’ wal mokawweno le-kulle shay’ wal kaa-eno ba’da maa laa yakoono shay’ allaahumma elaa rahmateka rafa’to basaree wa elaa joodeka basat-to kaffee falaa tahrimnee wa anaa as-alok wa laa to-a’zzibnee wa anaa astaghferok allaahumma fagh-fir lee fa-innaka bee a’alem wa laa to-a’zzibnee fa-innaka a’layya qaader

Translation

and that Muhammad is Your servant and Your Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family. And I ask You by virtue of all praise belonging to You, there is no deity except You, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, O Existing One before anything came into being, the Creator of all things, and the One Who endures after all else ceases to be. O Allah, toward Your mercy I have lifted my gaze, and toward Your generosity I have stretched out my hands; so do not turn me away empty-handed while I plead to You, and do not punish me while I am asking for Your forgiveness. O Allah, forgive me, for You know me completely; and do not punish me, for You possess complete power over me;

Transliteration

be-rahmateka yaa arhamar raahemeen allaahumma zar rahmatil waase-a’h was salaatin naafe-a’tir raafe-a’h salle a’laa akrame khalqeka a’layk wa ahabbehim elayka, wa awjehehim ladayk mohammadin a’bdeka wa rasoolekal makhsoose be-fazaa-elil wasaa-el ashrafa wa akmala, wa arfa-a’ wa a-a’zam wa akrama maa sallayta a’laa moballeghin a’nk moatamanin a’laa wahyek allaahumma kamaa sadadta behil a’maa wa fatahta behil hodaa faj-a’l manaaheja sobolehi lanaa sonanaa

Translation

by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful! O Allah, Possessor of boundless mercy and of beneficial, elevating blessings: send blessings upon the most honorable of Your creation to You, the most beloved of them to You, and the most eminent before You, Muhammad, Your servant and Messenger, uniquely distinguished with virtues of mediation; the most noble, most complete, highest, and greatest and most generous blessings You have ever bestowed upon a conveyor from You, one entrusted with Your revelation. O Allah, just as You cured spiritual blindness through him and opened up the paths of guidance through him, make the paths he trod a way of life for us,

Transliteration

wa hojaja burhaanehi lanaa sababaa naatamma behi elal qodoome a’layk allaahumma lakal hamdo mil-as samaawaatis sab-e’ wa mil-a tebaaqehinn wa mil-al arazeenas sab-e’ wa mil-a maa baynahunn wa mil-a a’rshe rabbenal kareem wa meezaana rabbenal ghaffaar wa medaada kalemaate rabbenal qahhaar wa mil-al jannate, wa mil-an naar wa a’dadal maa-e was saraa wa a’dada maa yoraa wa maa laa yoraa allaahumma waj a’l salawaateka wa barakaatek wa manneka wa maghferatek

Translation

and the clear proofs of his evidence a means for us by which we follow him to our arrival before You. O Allah, all praise is Yours filling the seven heavens and filling their layers, filling the seven earths and filling all that is between them, filling the Throne of our Noble Lord, matching the scale of our Forgiving Lord, equal to the ink of the words of our Compelling Lord, filling Paradise, filling the Fire, matching the number of water drops and soil particles, and matching the number of all that is seen and all that is unseen. O Allah, shower Your blessings and Your bounties, Your favors and Your forgiveness,

Transliteration

wa rahmataka wa rizwaanawk wa fazlaka wa salaamatek wa zikraka wa noorak wa sharafaka wa ne’mataka wa kheyaratek a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammad kamaa sallayta wa baarakta wa tarahhamt a’laa ibraaheema wa aale ibraaheem innaka hameedun majeed allaahumma a-a’te mohammadanil waseelatal u’zmaa wa kareema jazaa-eka fil u’qbaa hattaa tosharrefahu yawmal qeyaamate yaa elaahal hodaa allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammad

Translation

Your mercy and Your pleasure, Your grace and Your peace, Your remembrance and Your light, Your honor, Your gifts, and Your choicest selections upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, just as You blessed, graced, and showed mercy unto Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim; surely You are Praiseworthy, All-Glorious. O Allah, grant Muhammad the ultimate means of near station (al-Wasilah) and the noble reward from You in the Hereafter, so that You honor him on the Day of Resurrection, O God of guidance! O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

Transliteration

wa a’laa jamee-e’ malaa-ekateka wa anbeyaa-eka wa rosolek salaamun a’laa jibra-eela wa meekaa-eela wa israafeel wa hamalatil a’rshe wa malaa-ekatekal moqarrabeen wal keraamal kaatebeena wal karoobiyyeen wa salaamun a’laa malaa-ekateka ajma-e’en wa salaamun a’laa abeenaa aadama, wa a’laa ummenaa hawwaa’ wa salaamun a’lan nabiyyeena ajma-e’en was siddeeqeena wash shohadaa-e was saaleheen wa salaamun a’lal mursaleena ajma-e’en wal hamdo lillaahe rabbil a’alameen wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaahil a’liyyil a’zeem wa hasbeyal laaho wa ne’mal wakeel

Translation

and upon all Your angels, Your prophets, and Your messengers. Peace be upon Gabriel, Michael, and Israfil, and upon the bearers of the Throne and Your proximate angels, and the noble recording scribes, and the Cherubim; peace be upon all Your angels together; peace be upon our father Adam and upon our mother Eve; peace be upon all the prophets, and the truthful ones, the martyrs, and the righteous; peace be upon all the messengers; and all praise is for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Exalted, the Supreme. Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.

Transliteration

wa sallal laaho a’laa mohammadin wa aalehi wa sallama kaseeraa

Translation

And may Allah bless Muhammad and his family and grant them peace abundantly.
