Transliteration

subhaana man tawaaza'a kullo shay-in le-'azamatih subhaana man zalla kullo shay-in le-'izzatih subhaana man khaza'a kullo shay-in le-amrihi wa mulkih subhaana manin-qaadat lahul-umooru bi-azimmatika al-hamdu lillaahil-ladhee laa yansaa man dhakarah al-hamdu lillaahil-ladhee laa yukhayyibu man da'aah al-hamdu lillaahil-ladhee man tawakkala 'alayhi kafaah al-hamdu lillaahi saamiki as-samaa' wa saatihil-ard wa haasiril-bihaar wa naadidil-jibaal wa baari'il-hayawaan

Translation

Glorified is the One before Whose greatness everything is humbled. Glorified is the One before Whose might everything is abased. Glorified is the One before Whose command and dominion everything submits. Glorified is the One unto Whom all affairs yield by their reins. All praise belongs to Allah, Who never forgets the one who remembers Him. All praise belongs to Allah, Who never disappoints the one who calls upon Him. All praise belongs to Allah, Who suffices whoever relies upon Him. All praise belongs to Allah, the Elevator of the sky, the Spreader of the earth, the Confiner of the seas, the Setter of firm mountains, the Originator of living creatures,

Transliteration

wa khaaliqish-shajar wa faatihi yanaabee'il-ard wa mudabbiril-umoor wa musayyiris-sahaab wa mujrir-reehi wal-maa' wan-naari min aghwaaril-ardi mutasaari'aatin fil-hawaa' wa muhbitil-harri wal-bard alladhee bi-ni'matihi tatimmus-saalihaat wa bi-shukrihi tustawjabuz-ziyaadaat wa bi-amrihi qaamatis-samawaat wa bi-'izzatihis-taqarratir-raasiyaat wa sabbahatil-wuhooshu fil-falawaat

Translation

the Creator of trees, the Opener of earth's springs, the Disposer of all affairs, the Driver of clouds, the Conductor of wind and water, and the conductor of fire from the depths of the earth, surging through the atmosphere, the Bringer of heat and cold. The One through Whose blessing all good deeds are completed, and by gratitude to Whom increase is made due; by Whose command the heavens stood firm, by Whose might the anchored mountains were settled, and the wild beasts in the wilderness glorify Him,

Transliteration

wat-tayru fil-wakanaat al-hamdu lillaahi rafee'id-darajaat munzilil-aayaat waasi'il-barakaat saatiril-'awraat qaabilil-hasanaat muqeelil-'atharaat munaffisil-kurubaat munzilil-barakaat mujeebid-da'awaat muhyil-amwaat ilaahi man fil-ardi was-samawaat

Translation

as do the birds in their nests. All praise belongs to Allah, the Exalted in ranks, the Revealer of signs, the Vast in blessings, the Veiler of shortcomings, the Accepter of virtues, the Pardoner of stumbles, the Dispeller of sorrows, the Sender of bounties, the Answerer of supplications, the Reviver of the dead, the God of all who are in the earth and the heavens.

Transliteration

al-hamdu lillaahi 'alaa kulli hamdin wa dhikr wa shukrin wa sabr wa salaatin wa zakaah wa qiyaamin wa 'ibaadah wa sa'aadatin wa barakah wa ziyaadatin wa rahmah wa ni'matin wa karaamah wa fareedatin wa sarraa'a wa darraa' wa shiddatin wa rakhaa' wa museebatin wa balaa' wa 'usrin wa yusr wa ghinaa'in wa faqr

Translation

All praise belongs to Allah for every form of praise and remembrance, for every thanksgiving and patient perseverance, for every prayer and charity, for standing in vigil and acts of worship, for joy and blessing, for increase and mercy, for favor and dignity, for prescribed duties, and for times of delight and distress, for hardship and relief, for affliction and trial, for difficulty and ease, for abundance and poverty,

Transliteration

wa 'alaa kulli haal wa fee kulli awaanin wa zamaan wa fee kulli mathwan wa munqalabin wa maqaam allaahumma innee 'aa'idhun bik wa laa'idhun bi-himaak mutaharrizun fee hisnik muta'arridun li-rahmatik wa mustaslimun li-qadaa'ik wa raadin bi-hukmik muwakkilun amree ilayk ufawwidu amree ilal-laah innal-laaha baseerun bil-'ibaad

Translation

in every single condition, at every moment and era, and in every resting place, journey's turn, and abode. O Allah, I take shelter in You, and seek sanctuary within Your protection, fortified within Your stronghold, laying myself open to Your mercy, surrendering to Your decree, content with Your ruling, and entrusting my affair unto You. I commit my affair entirely to Allah; indeed, Allah is Ever-Watchful over His servants.

Transliteration

al-hamdu lillaahil-ladhee laa yurjaa illaa fadluh wa laa yus'alu illaa 'afwuh wa laa yunzaru illaa birruh wa laa yukhaafu illaa 'adluh wa laa yudraku illaa 'ilmuh wa laa yuhaatu illaa bi-sultaanih wa laa yabqaa illaa mulkuh wa laa yu'badu illaa iyyaah wa laa ilaaha illaa hoow allaahummaj-'alnee akhshaaka ka'annee araaka abadan hattaa alqaak wa as'idnee bi-taqwaak wa laa tushqinee bi-ma'siyatik

Translation

All praise belongs to Allah, from Whom nothing is hoped except His bounty, from Whom nothing is asked except His pardon, toward Whom nothing is anticipated except His goodness, from Whom nothing is feared except His justice, Whose essence none grasps except His own knowledge, Who cannot be encompassed except by His authority, Whose kingdom alone endures, none is worshipped save Him, and there is no deity except Him. O Allah, make me fear You as though I constantly behold You until I meet You; grant me felicity through piety toward You, do not make me miserable through disobedience to You,

Transliteration

wa khir lee fee qadaa'ik wa baarik lee fee qadarik hattaa laa uhibba ta'jeela maa akh-kharta wa laa ta'kheera maa 'ajjalt waj-'al ghinaaya fee nafsee wa amti'nee bi-sam'ee wa basaree waj-'alhumal-waarithayni minnee wan-surnee 'alaa man zalamanee wa arinee feehi tha'ree wa aqirra bi-dhaalika 'aynee allaahummak-finee hasadal-haasideen wa baghyal-baagheen wa kaydal-kaa'ideen

Translation

choose the best for me in Your decree, and bless me in Your divine measure, so that I do not desire the hasten of what You delay nor the delay of what You hasten. Plant true richness in my soul; let me benefit from my hearing and my sight, and make them both survive with me until death; grant me victory over the one who has wronged me, show me my vindication against him, and thereby cool and comfort my eyes. O Allah, protect me against the envy of the envious, the tyranny of the oppressors, the plots of the schemers,

Transliteration

wa makral-maakireen wa heelatal-muhtaaleen wa gheelatal-mughtaaleen wa zulmaz-zaalimeen wa jawral-jaa'ireen wa'tidaa'al-mu'tadeen wa sakhatal-muskhiteen wa tashahhobal-mutashahhibeen wa sawlatas-saa'ileen waq-tisaaral-muqtashireen wa ghashmal-ghaashimeen wa khabtal-khaabiteen

Translation

the deceit of the cunning, the tricks of the deceitful, the ambushes of assassins, the injustice of the wrongdoers, the oppression of the tyrants, the aggression of the belligerent, the wrath of the angered, the venomous hostility of enemies, the assault of invaders, the coercion of oppressors, the unfair violence of oppressors, the reckless blows of assailants,

Transliteration

wa si'aayatas-saa'een wa namaamatan-nammaameen wa sih ras-saharati wal-maradati wash-shayaateen wa jawras-salaateen wa makroohal-'aalameen allaahumma innee as'aluka bismikal-makhzoonit-tayyibit-taahir alladhee qaamat bihis-samawaatu wal-ard wa ashraqat lahuz-zulum wa sabbahat lahul-malaa'ikah wa wajilat minhul-quloob wa khada'at lahur-riqaab wa uhyiyat bihil-mawtaa

Translation

the slanderous campaigns of agitators, the gossip of tale-bearers, the sorcery of magicians, rebels, and devils, the tyranny of oppressive rulers, and the malice of all creation. O Allah, I implore You by Your hidden, pure, and undefiled Name, by which the heavens and the earth stand upright, through which the darknesses shone bright, unto which the angels sang glorification, from awe of which all hearts trembled, before which all necks lowered in submission, and by which the dead were brought to life:

Transliteration

an taghfira lee kulla dhambin adhnabtuhu fee zulumil-layli wa daw'in-nahaar 'amdan aw khata'aa sirran aw 'alaaniyah wa an tahaba lee yaqeenan wa hudaa wa nooran wa 'ilman wa fahmaa hattaa uqeema kitaabak wa uhilla halaalak wa uharrima haraamak wa u'addiya faraa'idak wa uqeema sunnata nabiyyika muhammadin sallal-laahu 'alayhi wa aalih allaahummal-hiqnee bi-saalihi man madaa waj-'alnee min saalihi man baqee

Translation

that You forgive me every sin I committed in the darkness of the night or the daylight, deliberately or erroneously, secretly or openly; and that You bestow upon me firm certainty and right guidance, radiant light, sacred knowledge, and profound understanding, so that I may uphold Your Book, declare lawful what You made lawful, declare forbidden what You made forbidden, fulfill Your obligatory duties, and revive the Sunnah of Your Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family. O Allah, join me with the righteous who have passed away, make me among the righteous who remain,

Transliteration

wakh-tim lee 'amalee bi-ahsanihee innaka ghafoorun raheem allaahumma idhaa faniya 'umree wa tasarramat ayyaamu hayaatee wa kaana laa budda lee min liqaa'ik fa-as'aluka yaa lateefu an toojiba lee minal-jannati manzilaa yaghbitunee bihil-awwaloona wal-aakhiroon allaahummaq-bal midhatee wal-tihaafee war-ham daraa'atee wa hutaafee wa iqraaree 'alaa nafsee wa'tiraafee faqad asma'tuka sawtee fid-daa'een wa khushoo'ee fid-daari'een wa midhatee fil-qaa'ileen

Translation

and seal my life with the finest of my deeds; truly, You are Most Forgiving, Merciful. O Allah, when my lifespan reaches its end and the days of my life are spent, and I must inevitably come to meet You, then I ask You, O Subtle and Gentle One, to appoint for me a station in Paradise for which both the foremost and the latest generations will rejoice for me. O Allah, accept my extolment and fervent longing; have mercy on my humble pleading and cries, and my self-reckoning and honest confession, for I have raised my voice to You among the supplicants, my humility among the prostrate, my praise among the speakers,

Transliteration

wa tasbeehee fil-maadiheen wa anta mujeebul-mudtarreen wa mugheethul-mustagheetheen wa ghiyaathul-malhoofeen wa hirzul-haaribeen wa sareekhul-mu'mineen wa muqeelul-mudhnibeen wa sallal-laahu 'alal-basheerin-nadheeri was-siraajil-muneer wa 'alal-malaa'ikati wan-nabiyyeen allaahumma daahiyal-madhuwwaat wa baari'al-masmookaat wa jabbaalal-quloobi 'alaa fitratihaa shaqiyyahaa wa sa'eedahaa

Translation

and my glorification among the eulogists. And You are the Responder to the distressed, the Rescuer of those who plead for help, the Aid of the grief-stricken, the Sanctuary of fugitives, the Rescuer of the faithful, and the Pardoner of sinners. May Allah send blessings upon the Bearer of Glad Tidings and Warner, the Illuminating Lamp, and upon the angels and all the prophets. O Allah, Spreader of the leveled expanses, Fashioner of the vaulted skies, and Molder of hearts upon their natural dispositions—both the wretched and the blessed:

Transliteration

ij-'al sharaa'ifa salawaatik wa nawaamiya barakaatik wa karaa'ima tahiyyaatik 'alaa muhammadin 'abdika wa rasoolika wa ameeneeka 'alaa wahyik al-qaa'imi bi-hujjatik wadh-dhaabbi 'an haramik was-saadi'i bi-amrik wal-mushayyidi li-aayaatik wal-moofee li-nadhrik allaahumma fa-a'tihi bi-kulli fadeelatin min fadaa'ilih wa manqabatin min manaaqibih wa haalin min ahwaalih

Translation

shower the most noble of Your blessings, the ever-growing of Your bounties, and the most cherished of Your greetings upon Muhammad, Your servant, Your Messenger, and the trustee of Your revelation; the upholder of Your proof, the defender of Your sacred sanctuary, the proclaimer of Your mandate, the establisher of Your signs, and the fulfiller of his vows to You. O Allah, award him for every virtue among his virtues, for every noble quality among his merits, for every state among his states,

Transliteration

wa manzilatil min manaazilih ra'ayta muhammadan laka feehaa naasiraa wa 'alaa makroohi balaa'ika saabiraa wa liman 'aadaaka mu'aadiyaa wa liman waalaaka muwaaliyaa wa 'ammaa karihta naa'iyaa wa ilaa maa ahbabta daa'iyaa fadaa'ila min jazaa'ik wa khasaa'isa min 'ataa'ika wa hibaa'ik tusnee bihaa amrah wa tu'lee bihaa darajatahu ma'al-quwwaami bi-qistik wadh-dhaabbeena 'an haramik

Translation

and for every rank among his ranks— wherein You found Muhammad aiding Your cause, patient under the brunt of Your trials, opposing whoever showed enmity toward You, befriending whoever was loyal to You, staying far from what You disliked, and calling toward what You loved— virtues from Your recompense, and exceptional gifts from Your boundless favor and generosity, by which You elevate his cause and raise his rank among the upholders of Your justice and the defenders of Your sanctuary,

Transliteration

hattaa laa yabqaa sanaa'un wa laa bahaa'un wa laa rahmatun wa laa karaamah illaa khassasta muhammadan bi-dhaalik wa aataytahu minkadh-dhuraa wa ballaghtahul-maqaamaatil-'ulaa aameena rabbal-'aalameen allaahumma innee astawdi'uka deenee wa nafsee wa jamee'a ni'matika 'alayy faj-'alnee fee kanafika wa hifzik wa 'izzika wa man'ik 'azza jaaruk wa jalla thanaa'uk wa taqaddasat asmaa'uk wa laa ilaaha ghayruk

Translation

until no splendor, glory, mercy, or honor remains except that You have singularly favored Muhammad with it; and grant him from You the highest peaks, and convey him to the most exalted stations. Amen, O Lord of the worlds! O Allah, I entrust into Your keeping my faith, my soul, and every blessing You granted me; so enclose me within Your shelter and preservation, Your honor, and Your impenetrable sanctuary. Exalted is Your protected neighbor, magnificent is Your praise, hallowed are Your names, and there is no deity besides You.

Transliteration

hasbee anta fis-sarraa'i wad-darraa'i wash-shiddati war-rakhaa' wa ni'mal-wakeel rabbanaa 'alayka tawakkalnaa wa ilayka anabnaa wa ilaykal-maseer rabbanaa laa taj-'alnaa fitnatal lil-ladheena kafaroo wagh-fir lanaa rabbanaa innaka antal-'azeezul-hakeem rabbanas-rif 'annaa 'adhaaba jahannam inna 'adhaabahaa kaana gharaamaa innahaa saa'at mustaqarran wa muqaamaa rabbanash-tah baynanaa wa bayna qawminaa bil-haqq

Translation

You are sufficient for me in prosperity and adversity, in distress and ease, and You are the Best Disposer of affairs. Our Lord, upon You we have relied, unto You we have turned, and unto You is the ultimate return. Our Lord, make us not a trial for those who disbelieve, and forgive us, our Lord; indeed, You are the Almighty, the All-Wise. Our Lord, avert from us the torment of Hell; indeed, its torment is an inseparable anguish; truly, evil it is as an abode and a dwelling place. Our Lord, judge between us and our people in truth,

Transliteration

wa anta khayrul-faatiheen rabbanaa fagh-fir lanaa dhunoobanaa wa kaffir 'annaa sayyi'aatinaa wa tawaffanaa ma'al-abraar rabbanaa wa aatinaa maa wa'adtanaa 'alaa rusulik wa laa tukhzinaa yawmal-qiyaamah innaka laa tukhliful-mee'aad rabbanaa laa tu'aakhidhnaa in naseenaa aw akhta'naa rabbanaa wa laa tahmil 'alaynaa isran kamaa hamaltahu 'alal-ladheena min qablinaa rabbanaa wa laa tuhammilnaa maa laa taaqata lanaa bih wa'fu 'annaa wagh-fir lanaa

Translation

for You are the Best of Judges. Our Lord, forgive us our sins, expiate from us our misdeeds, and take our souls in death along with the righteous. Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and disgrace us not on the Day of Resurrection; indeed, You never fail in Your promise. Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, burden us not with that which we have no capacity to bear. Pardon us, forgive us,

Transliteration

war-hamnaa anta mawlaanaa fan-surnaa 'alal-qawmil-kaafireen rabbanaa aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanah wa fil-aakhirati hasanah wa qinaa 'adhaaban-naar wa sallal-laahu 'alaa sayyidinaa muhammadinin-nabiyyi wa aalihit-taahireena wa sallama tasleemaa

Translation

and have mercy on us; You are our Protector, so grant us victory over the disbelieving people. Our Lord, grant us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the torment of the Fire. And may Allah bless our Master Muhammad, the Prophet, and his pure family, and bestow complete peace.
