Dua of Sayeda Fatima (sa) after Maghrib Salaat

Transliteration

al-hamdo lillaahil lazee laa yablogho midhatahul qaaeloon wal hamdo lillaahil lazee laa yohsee na’maa-ahul a’addoon wal hamdo lillaahil lazee laa yo-addee haqqahul mujtahedoon wa laa elaaha illal laahul awwalo wal aakher wa laa elaaha illal laahuz zaahero wal baaten wa laa elaaha illal laahul mohyil momeet wal laaho akbaro zut tawl wal laaho akbaro zul baqaa-id daa-em wal hamdo lillaahil lazee laa yudrekul a’alemoona i’lmah wa laa yastakhifful jaaheloona hilmah wa laa yabloghul maadehoona midhatah wa laa yaseful waasefoona sefatah

Translation

All praise is for Allah, Whose praise cannot be encompassed by speakers. All praise is for Allah, Whose bounties cannot be counted by reckoners. All praise is for Allah, Whose due right cannot be fulfilled by strivers. There is no god except Allah, the First and the Last. There is no god except Allah, the Manifest and the Hidden. There is no god except Allah, the Giver of life and the Causer of death. Allah is the Greatest, Owner of abundant favor. Allah is the Greatest, Possessor of everlasting permanence. All praise is for Allah, Whose knowledge cannot be grasped by the learned; Whose forbearance cannot be taken lightly by the ignorant; Whose extolling cannot be fully reached by the praisers; Whose attribute cannot be defined by describers;

Transliteration

wa laa yohsenul khalqo na’tah wal hamdo lillaahe zil mulke wal malakoot wal a’zamate wal jabaroote wal i’zze wal kibreyaa’ wal bahaa-e wal jalaal wal mahaabate wal jamaal wal i’zzate wal qudrate wal hawle wal quwwah wal minnate wal ghalabah wal fazle wat tawl wal a’dle wal haqqe wal khalqe wal a’laa’ war rif-a’te wal majd wal fazeelate wal hikmah wal ghenaa-e was sa-a’h

Translation

and Whose description cannot be matched by all creation. All praise is for Allah, Possessor of sovereignty and dominion, greatness, absolute power, honor, and supremacy, splendor and majesty, awe and beauty, might, capacity, power, and strength, grace and triumph, favor and benevolence, justice, truth, creation, and loftiness, elevation and glory, excellence and wisdom, wealth and vastness,

Transliteration

wal baste wal qabz wal hilme wal i’lm wal hujjatil baaleghate wan ne’matis saabeghah was sanaa-il hasanil jameele wal aalaa-il kareemah malekid dunyaa wal aakherate wal jannate wan naar wa maa feehinna tabaarakal laaho wa ta-a’alaa al-hamdo lillaahil lazee a’lema asraaral ghoyoob wat tala-a’ a’laa maa tajinnul qoloob falaysa a’nho mazhabun wa laa mahrab wal hamdo lillaahil motakabbere fee sultaanih al-a’zeeze fee makaanih al-motajabbere fee mulkih

Translation

expansion and contraction, forbearance and knowledge, conclusive proof and abundant bounty, beautiful, elegant praise, and noble favors; Sovereign of this world, the Hereafter, Paradise, and Hell, and all that is within them; blessed is Allah and Exalted. All praise is for Allah, Who knows the secrets of the unseen, and is aware of what is concealed within the hearts; so there is no escape nor retreat from Him. All praise is for Allah, the Supreme in His authority, the Mighty in His station, the Compelling in His dominion,

Transliteration

al-qawiyye fee batsheeh ar-rafee-e’ fawqa a’rsheh al-mutta-le-e’ a’laa khalqeh wal baaleghe lemaa araada min i’lmeh al-hamdo lillaahil lazee bekalemaatehi qaamatis samaawaatush shedaad wa sabatatil arazoonal mehaad wan tasabatil jebaalur rawaasil awtaad wa jaratir reyaahul lawaaqeh wa saara fee jawwis samaa-is sahaab wa waqafat a’laa hodoodehal behaar wa wajelatil qoloobo min makhaafateh wan qa-ma-a’til arbaabo le-roboobiyyateh

Translation

the Stern in His grip, the Exalted above His Throne, the Overseer of His creation, and the One Who executes whatever He wills by His knowledge. All praise is for Allah, by Whose words the firm heavens stood established, the smoothed earths became steady, the firm anchor-mountains were erected, the pollinating winds blew, the clouds moved through the atmosphere of the sky, the seas halted at their set boundaries, hearts trembled in awe of Him, and all false masters were subdued before His Lordship.

Transliteration

tabaarakta yaa mohsee qatril matare wa waraqish shajar wa mohyee ajsaadil mawtaa lil-hashr subhaanaka yaa zal jalaale wal ikraam maa fa-a’lta bil-ghareebil faqeere ezaa ataaka mustajeeran mustagheesaa? maa fa-a’lta beman anaakha be-fenaa-ek wa ta-a’rraza le-rezaaka wa ghadaa elayk fajasaa bayna yadayk yashkoo elayka maa laa yakhfaa a’layk? falaa yakoonanna yaa rabbe hazzee min do-a’a-il hirmaan wa laa naseebee mimmaa arjoo minkal khizlaan yaa man lam yazal wa laa yazool kamaa lam yazal qaa-eman a’laa kulle nafsin bemaa kasabat

Translation

Blessed are You, O Counter of raindrops and tree leaves, and Enlivener of the bodies of the dead for the gathering! Glory be to You, O Possessor of majesty and honor! What will You do with the poor stranger when he comes seeking Your protection and crying for help? What will You do with the one who alights at Your courtyard, exposes himself to Your pleasure, journeys early to You, kneels down before You, and complains to You of that which is not hidden from You? Let not my portion of my prayer, O Lord, be deprivation, nor my share of what I hope from You be abandonment. O One Who has never ceased to be and will never cease, just as He has eternally stood watch over every soul according to what it earned.

Transliteration

yaa man ja-a’la ayyaamad dunyaa tazool wa shohoorahaa tahool wa seniyyahaa tadoor wa antad daa-emo laa tubleekal azmaan wa laa toghayyerokad dohoor yaa man kullo yawmin i’ndahu jadeed wa kullo rizqin i’ndahu a’teed liz-za-e’efe wal qawiyye wash shadeed qassamtal arzaaqa baynal khalaa-eq fasawwayta baynaz zarrate wal u’sfoor allaahumma ezaa zaaqal moqaamo bin-naas fa-na-o’ozo beka min zeeqil moqaam

Translation

O One Who made the days of the world pass away, its months turn, and its years rotate; while You are the Eternal Whom times cannot wear down, nor passing ages alter. O One for Whom every day is new, and with Whom every sustenance is prepared and ready for the weak, the strong, and the powerful. You distributed sustenance among creation, and established equality between the tiny ant and the bird. O Allah, when the gathering place becomes constricted for the people, we seek refuge in You from the constriction of the place.

Transliteration

allaahumma ezaa taala yawmul qeyaamate a’lal mujremeen faqassir zaalekal yawma a’laynaa kamaa baynas salaate elas salaah allaahumma ezaa adnaytash shamsa menal jamaajem fakaana baynahaa wa baynal jamaajeme miqdaaro meel wa zeeda fee harrehaa harro a’shre seneen fa-innaa nas-aloka an tozillanaa bil-ghamaam wa tanseba lanal manaabera wal karaasiyya najleso a’layhaa wan naaso yantaleqoona fil maqaam aameena rabbal a’alameen as-aloka allaahumma be-haqqe haazehil mahaamed illaa ghafarta lee wa tajaawazta a’nnee wa albastanil a’afeyata fee badanee

Translation

O Allah, when the Day of Resurrection is drawn out long for the sinners, make that Day short for us, like the interval between one prayer and the next. O Allah, when You bring the sun close to the skulls, so that between it and the skulls is only the distance of a mile, and its heat is multiplied with the heat of ten years; we ask You to shade us with clouds of mercy, and erect for us pulpits and seats upon which we may sit while people are running about anxiously in that place. Amen, O Lord of the worlds! I ask You, O Allah, by the right of these praises, that You forgive me, pardon me, clothe me with wellbeing in my body,

Transliteration

wa razaqtanis salaamata fee deenee fa-innee as-aloka wa anaa waasequn be-ejaabateka iyyaya fee mas-alatee wa ad-o’oka wa anaa a’alemun bis-temaa-e’ka da’watee fastame’ do-a’a-ee wa laa taqta’ rajaa-ee wa laa tarudda sanaa-ee wa laa tokhayyib do-a’a-ee anaa mohtaajun elaa rizwaanek wa faqeerun elaa ghufraanek wa as-aloka wa laa aayesun min rahmatek wa ad-o’oka wa anaa ghayro mohtarezin min sakhatek rabbe fas-tajib lee

Translation

and grant me safety in my religion. For I ask You while confident of Your answer to my plea; I call upon You knowing that You hear my call. So hear my prayer, do not cut off my hope, do not reject my praise, and do not disappoint my supplication. I am in need of Your good pleasure, destitute before Your pardon; I ask You without ever despairing of Your mercy, and I call upon You while unprotected from Your wrath except by You. My Lord, answer me,

Transliteration

wam nun a’layya be-a’fwek wa tawaffanee muslemaa wa alhiqnee bis-saaleheen rabbe laa tamna’nee fazlaka yaa mannaan wa laa takilnee elaa nafsee makhzoolan yaa hannaan rabbir ham i’nda feraaqil ahibbate sar-a’tee wa i’nda sokoonil qabre wahdatee wa fee mafaazatil qeyaamate ghurbatee wa bayna yadayka mawqoofan lil-hesaabe faaqatee rabbe astajeero beka menan naare fa-ajirnee rabbe a-o’ozo beka menan naare fa-a-i’znee rabbe af-ze-o’ elayka menan naare fa-ab-i’dnee

Translation

grace me with Your pardon, cause me to die a Muslim, and join me with the righteous. My Lord, do not withhold Your grace from me, O Generous Bestower! And do not abandon me to myself forsaken, O Compassionate One! My Lord, have mercy upon my fall when separating from loved ones; have mercy on my loneliness in the quiet of the grave; have mercy on my alien state in the vast plain of the Resurrection; and have mercy on my destitution when standing before You for accounting. My Lord, I seek Your sanctuary from the Fire, so protect me! My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the Fire, so grant me refuge! My Lord, I flee in dread unto You from the Fire, so distance me from it!

Transliteration

rabbe as-tarhemoka makrooban farhamnee rabbe astaghferoka lemaa jahilto faghfir lee rabbe qad abrazanid do-a’aa-o lil-haajate elayka falaa toa-yisnee yaa kareemo zal aalaa-e wal ehsaane wat tajaawoz sayyedee yaa barro yaa raheem istajib baynal motazarre-e’ena elayka da’watee war ham baynal muntahebeena bil-a’weele a’bratee waj a’l fee leqaa-eka yawmal khorooje menad dunyaa raahatee was tur baynal amwaate yaa a’zeemar rajaa-e a’wratee wa’ tif a’layya i’ndat tahawwole waheedan elaa hufratee innaka amalee wa maw-ze-o’ talebatee wal a’arefo bemaa oreedo fee tawjeehe mas-alatee

Translation

My Lord, I plead for Your mercy in distress, so have mercy on me! My Lord, I seek Your forgiveness for what I did out of ignorance, so forgive me! My Lord, sheer need of You has brought me out to supplicate, so do not disappoint me, O Generous One, Possessor of bounties, benevolence, and pardon! My Master, O Righteous, O Merciful! Accept my supplication from among those who plead to You, and show mercy to my tears from among those who wail in weeping. Make my comfort on the day of departing this world lie in meeting You; veil my faults among the dead, O Supreme Object of hope; and show tenderness toward me when I am carried alone to my grave. You are indeed my hope and the ultimate goal of my request, and the Knower of what I seek in the direction of my plea.

Transliteration

faqze yaa qaazeyal haajaate haajatee fa-elaykal mushtakaa wa antal musta-a’ano wal murtajaa afirro elayka haareban menaz zonoobe faqbalnee wa altaje-o min a’dleka elaa maghferateka fa-adriknee wa altaazo be-a’fweka min batsheka fam-na’nee wa astar-weho rahmataka min e’qaabeka fanajjenee wa atlobul qurbata minka bil-islaame faqarribnee wa menal fa-za-i’l akbare fa-aaminnee wa fee zille a’rsheka fazallilnee wa kiflayne min rahmateka fahab lee wa menad dunyaa saaleman fanajjenee wa menaz zolomaate elan noore fa-akhrijnee

Translation

So fulfill my need, O Granter of needs! To You alone is the complaint raised, and You are the One besought for help and relied upon. I flee to You running away from sins, so accept me; I turn from Your absolute justice to Your forgiveness, so reach out to me; I seek shelter in Your pardon from Your punishment, so shield me; and I seek relief in Your mercy from Your retribution, so save me. I seek proximity to You through Islam, so draw me near; grant me security from the Supreme Terror; shade me under the shadow of Your Throne; bestow upon me a twofold portion of Your mercy; deliver me safe and sound from this worldly life; and bring me forth out of darknesses into the light.

Transliteration

wa yawmal qeyaamate fa-bayyiz wajhee wa hesaaban yaseeran fahaasibnee wa besaraa-eree falaa tafzahnee wa a’laa balaa-eka fasabbirnee wa kamaa sarafta a’n yoosofas soo-a wal fahshaa-a fasrifho a’nnee wa maa laa taaqata lee behi falaa tohammilnee wa elaa daaris salaame fahdenee wa bil-qur-aane fan-fa’nee wa bil-qawlis saabete fasabbitnee wa menash shaytaanir rajeeme fah-faznee wa be-hawleka wa quwwateka wa jabarooteka fa’simnee wa be-hilmeka wa i’lmeka wa sa-a’te rahmateka min jahannama fanajjenee

Translation

On the Day of Resurrection, brighten my face; reckon me with an easy reckoning; do not disgrace me because of my hidden secrets; grant me patience over Your trials; turn away evil and indecency from me as You turned it away from Yusuf; and do not burden me with what I have no strength to bear. Guide me to the Abode of Peace; benefit me through the Quran; make me firm upon the steadfast word; protect me from the outcast devil; shield me through Your power, strength, and almighty force; save me from Hell through Your forbearance, knowledge, and vast mercy;

Transliteration

wa jannatakal firdawsa fa-askinnee wan nazara elaa wajheka far-zuqnee wa be-nabiyyeka mohammadin sallal laaho a’layhe wa aalehi fa-alhiqnee wa menash shayaateene wa awleyaa-ehim wa min sharre kulle zee sharrin fakfenee allaahumma wa a-a’daa-ee wa man kaadanee be-soo’ in ataw barran fajabbin sha-jee-a’hum fazze jomoo-a’hum kallil selaahahum a’rqib dawaabbahum sallit a’layhemul a’waa-sefa wal qawaasefa abadaa hattaa tusleehemun naar anzilhum min sayaaseehim

Translation

dwell me within Your Garden of Firdaus; bless me with the sight of Your Noble Countenance; join me with Your Prophet Muhammad—blessings of Allah be upon him and his family; and suffice me against devils, their allies, and the harm of every evil-doer. O Allah, as for my enemies and whoever plots evil against me: if they march across land, make cowards of their brave ones, disperse their gatherings, blunt their weapons, hamstring their mounts, and unleash against them raging and shattering storms forever until You cast them into the Fire; bring them down from their strongholds,

Transliteration

wa amkinnaa min nawaaseehim aameena rabbal a’alameen allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin wa aale mohammad salaatan yash-hadul awwaloona ma-a’l abraar wa sayyedil mursaleena wa khaatamin nabiyyeen wa qaa-edil khayre, wa miftaahir rahmah allaahumma rabbal baytil haraame, wash shahril haraam wa rabbal mash-a’ril haraam wa rabbar rukne wal maqaam wa rabbal hille wal haraam balligh rooha mohammadin minnat tahiyyata was salaam assalaamo a’layka yaa rasoolal laah

Translation

and grant us power over their forelocks. Amen, O Lord of the worlds! O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, a blessing witnessed by the earliest generations alongside the righteous, and the Master of Messengers, the Seal of Prophets, the Leader of all good, and the Key of mercy. O Allah, Lord of the Sacred House and the Sacred Month, Lord of the Sacred Monument (al-Mash'ar al-Haram), Lord of the Corner (Rukn) and the Station (Maqam), and Lord of the non-sacred territory (Hill) and the Sanctuary (Haram): convey to the soul of Muhammad greetings and peace from us. Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah!

Transliteration

salaamun a’layka yaa ameenal laah salaamun a’layka yaa mohammadab na a’bdil laah assalaamo a’layka wa rahmatul laahe wa barakaatoh fahowa kamaa wasaftahu bil-moameneena raoofun raheem allaahumma a-a’tehi afzala maa sa-alak wa afzala maa so-ilta lah wa afzala maa anta mas-oolun lahu elaa yawmil qeyaamah aameena yaa rabbal a’alameen

Translation

Peace be upon you, O Trustee of Allah! Peace be upon you, O Muhammad son of Abdullah! Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. For he is just as You described him: to the believers, kind and merciful. O Allah, grant him the best of what he asked You for, the best of what has ever been asked of You for him, and the best of what You will be asked for him until the Day of Resurrection. Amen, O Lord of the worlds!
