Dua of Sayeda Fatima (sa) after Zuhr Salaat

Transliteration

subhaana zil i’zzish shaamekhil moneefe subhaana zil jalaalil baazekhil a’zeeme subhaana zil mulkil faakheril qadeeme wal hamdo lillaahil lazee be-ne’matehi balaghto maa balaghto menal i’lme behi wal a’male lahu war raghbate elayhe, wat taa-a’te le-amrehi wal hamdo lillaahil lazee lam yaj-a’lnee jaahedan le-shay-in min ketaabehi wa laa motahayyeran fee shay-in min amrehi wal hamdo lillaahil lazee hadaanee le-deenehi wa lam yaj-a’lnee a-a’bodo shay-an ghayrahu allaahumma innee as-aloka qawlat tawwaabeena wa a’malahum wa najaatal mojaahedeena wa sawaabahum wa tasdeeqal moameneena wa tawakkolahum

Translation

Glorified is the One possessing lofty and elevated honor. Glorified is the Owner of magnificent and supreme majesty. Glorified is the Owner of the ancient and esteemed dominion. All praise is for Allah, by whose blessing I have attained what I have attained of knowledge of Him, and deed for Him, longing towards Him, and obedience to His command. All praise is for Allah, who did not make me a denier of anything from His Book, nor perplexed concerning anything of His affair. All praise is for Allah, who guided me to His religion, and did not let me worship anything other than Him. O Allah, I ask of You the speech of the penitents and their deeds, the salvation of the strivers and their reward, the conviction of the faithful and their reliance,

Transliteration

war raahata i’ndal mawte, wal amna i’ndal hesaabe waj a’lil mawta khayra ghaa-ebin antazerohu wa khayra motta-la-i’n yuttala-o’ a’layya war zuqnee i’nda hozooril mawte, wa i’nda nozoolehi, wa fee ghamaraatehi wa heena tanzelun nafso min baynit taraaqee, wa heena tabloghul hulqoomo wa fee haale khoroojee menad dunyaa wa tilkas saa-a’til latee laa amleko le-nafsee feehaa zarran wa laa naf-a’n, wa laa shiddatan wa laa rakhaa-an rawhan min rahmateka, wa hazzan min rizwaaneka wa bushran min karaamateka qabla an tata-waffaa nafsee, wa taqbeza roohee wa tosalleta malakal mawte a’laa ikhraaje nafsee wa be-bushran minka yaa rabbe laysat min ahadin ghayreka taslojo behaa sadree wa tasurro behaa nafsee

Translation

ease at the time of death, and peace and security during the accounting. Make death the best absent thing I await, and the best scene to present itself before me. Grant me—at the presence of death, at its descent, and during its agonies, and when the breath sinks down from the collarbones, and when it reaches the throat, and at the time of my departure from this world, and at that hour in which I possess for myself neither harm nor benefit, neither hardship nor ease— comfort from Your mercy, a portion of Your good pleasure, and glad tidings from Your grace, before You take my soul and seize my spirit, and give authority to the Angel of Death to draw out my soul. And grant glad tidings from You, O Lord—not from anyone else— by which my chest is cooled, my soul is gladdened,

Transliteration

wa taqirro behaa a’ynee, wa yatahallalo behaa wajhee wa yasforo behaa lawnee, wa yat-ma-inno behaa qalbee wa yatabaasharo behaa saa-ero jasadee yaghbetonee behaa man hazaranee min khalqeka wa man same-a’ bee min e’baadeka tohawweno behaa a’layya sakaraatil mawte wa tofarrejo a’nnee behaa kurbatahu wa tokhaffefo behaa a’nnee shiddatahu wa takshefo a’nnee behaa suqmahu, wa tuzhebo a’nnee behaa hammahu wa hasratahu wa ta’semonee behaa min asafehi wa fetanehi wa tojeeronee behaa min sharrehi wa sharre maa yahzoro ahlohu wa tarzoqonee behaa khayrahu wa khayra maa yahzoro i’ndahu wa khayra maa howa kaa-enun ba’dahu summa ezaa towuffeyat nafsee wa qobezat roohee

Translation

my eyes find comfort, my face shines brightly, my complexion glows, my heart is reassured, and the rest of my whole body rejoices. Through which whoever of Your creation attends me feels envious joy, as well as whoever among Your servants hears of me. Through it, ease for me the throes of death, relieve me through it of its distress, and lighten for me its severity; dispel from me its illness, remove through it its anxiety and anguish, protect me through it from its grief and temptations, shield me through it from its evil and the evil that attends its people, and bestow on me through it its good, the good that attends it, and the good that comes after it. Then, when my soul is taken and my spirit is grasped,

Transliteration

faj-a’l roohee fil arwaahir raa-ehate waj a’l nafsee fil anfosis saalehate waj a’l jasadee fil ajsaadil motahharate waj a’l a’malee fil a-a’maalil motaqabbalate summar zuqnee fee khittatee menal arze wa maw-ze-a’ junnatee hayso yurfato lahmee, wa yudfano a’zmee wa utrako waheedan laa heelata lee qad lafazatnil belaado, wa takhallaa minnil e’baado waf taqarto elaa rahmateka wah tajto elaa saalehe a’malee wa alqaa maa mahhadto le-nafsee wa qaddamto le-aakheratee, wa a’milto fee ayyaame hayaatee fawzan min rahmateka, wa zeyaa-an min nooreka wa tasbeetan min karaamateka, bil-qawlis saabete fil hayaatid dunyaa wal aakherate

Translation

place my spirit among the tranquil and restful spirits, place my soul among the righteous souls, place my body among the purified bodies, and place my deeds among the accepted deeds. Then grant me—in my designated plot of earth and place of burial— where my flesh disintegrates and my bones are buried, and I am left alone, possessing no recourse; cast out by the towns and deserted by fellow beings, in desperate need of Your mercy and in need of my righteous deeds, and encountering what I prepared for myself, sent forth for my hereafter, and performed in the days of my life— triumph from Your mercy, brilliance from Your light, and steadfastness from Your bounty, through the steadfast word in the life of this world and in the Hereafter;

Transliteration

innaka tozilluz zaalemeena wa taf-a’lo maa tashaa-o summa baarik lee fil ba’se wal hesaabe ezan shaqqatil arzo a’nnee wa takhallal e’baado minnee wa ghasheyatnis sayhato, wa afza-a’tnin naf-khato wa nashartanee ba’dal mawte wa ba-a’stanee lil-hesaabe fab-a’s ma-e’e yaa rabbe nooran min rahmateka yas-a’a bayna yadayya wa a’n yameenee toamenonee behi, wa tarbeto behi a’laa qalbee wa tuzhero behi u’zree, wa tobayyezo behi wajhee wa tosaddeqo behi hadeesee, wa tuflejo behi hujjatee wa toballeghonee behil u’rwatal quswaa min rahmateka wa tohillonid darajatal u’lyaa min jannateka

Translation

verily, You leave the wrongdoers astray, and You do whatever You will. Then bless me in the resurrection and the accounting, when the earth is split open away from me and people abandon me, and the great cry overwhelms me, and the blast of the trumpet terrifies me, and You resurrect me after death and raise me up for the Reckoning. Send forth with me, O Lord, a light from Your mercy, shining and racing before me and on my right side, whereby You grant me safety and brace my heart, make manifest through it my plea, brighten my face through it, validate my words through it, make my proof victorious through it, lead me through it to the most ultimate hold of Your mercy, and settle me in the highest station of Your Paradise.

Transliteration

wa tarzoqonee behi moraafaqata mohammadenin nabiyye a’bdeka wa rasooleka sallal laaho a’layhe wa aalehi fee a-a’lal jannate darajatan, wa ablaghehaa fazeelatan wa abarrehaa a’tiyyatan, wa arfa-e’haa nafsatan ma-a’l lazeena an-a’mta a’layhim menan nabiyyeena was siddeeqeena wash shohadaa-e was saaleheena wa hasona oolaa-eka rafeeqan allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin khaatamin nabiyyeena wa a’laa jamee-i’l anbeyaa-e wal mursaleena wa a’lal malaa-ekate ajma-e’ena wa a’laa aalehit tayyebeenattaahereena wa a’laa a-immatil hodaa ajma-e’ena, aameena rabbal a’alameena allaahumma salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa hadaytanaa behi wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa rahimtanaa behi

Translation

Grant me through it the companionship of the Prophet Muhammad, Your servant and Messenger—blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny— in the highest tier of Paradise, its most supreme excellence, its most generous bestowal, and its most elevated nobility, together with those whom You have blessed among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, and excellent are those as companions. O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon all the prophets and messengers, and upon all the angels collectively, and upon his good and pure progeny, and upon all the Imams of guidance, Amen, O Lord of the worlds. O Allah, bless Muhammad just as You guided us through him, and bless Muhammad just as You showed mercy to us through him,

Transliteration

wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa a’zzaztanaa behi wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa fazzaltanaa behi wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa sharraftanaa behi wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa nasartanaa behi wa salle a’laa mohammadin kamaa anqaztanaa behi min shafaa hufratin menan naare allaahumma bayyiz wajhahu, wa a-a’le ka’bahu wa aflij hujjatahu, wa atmim noorahu wa saqqil meezaanahu, wa a’zzim burhaanahu waf sah lahu hattaa yarzaa wa ballighhud darajata wal waseelata menal jannate wab a’shul maqaamal mahmoodal lazee wa-a’dtahu waj a’lho afzalan nabiyyeena wal mursaleena i’ndaka manzelatan wa waseelatan

Translation

and bless Muhammad just as You honored us through him, and bless Muhammad just as You favored us through him, and bless Muhammad just as You ennobled us through him, and bless Muhammad just as You aided us through him, and bless Muhammad just as You rescued us through him from the brink of a pit of Fire. O Allah, whiten his face, elevate his prominence, grant triumph to his proof, make complete his light, make heavy his balance, magnify his testimony, expand for him until he is well pleased, and deliver him to the high rank and the mediation in Paradise; and raise him to the Praised Station that You promised him, and make him the foremost of the prophets and messengers in status and intercession before You.

Transliteration

waq sus benaa asarahu, was qenaa bekaasehi wa awridnaa hawzahu, wah shurnaa fee zumratehi wa tawaffanaa a’laa millatehi, was luk benaa sobolahu was ta’milnaa be-sunnatehi ghayra khazaa-yaa wa laa naademeena, wa laa shaakkeena, wa laa mobaddeleena yaa man baabohu maftoohun le-daa-e’ehe wa hejaabohu marfoo-u’n le-raajeehe yaa saateral amril qabeehe, wa modaa-wel qalbil jareehe laa tafzahnee fee mash-hadil qeyaamate bemoobeqaatil aasaame wa laa to’riz be-wajhekal kareeme a’nnee min baynil anaame yaa ghaayatal muztarril faqeere, wa yaa jaberal a’zmil kaseere hab lee moobeqaatil jaraa-ere, wa’ fo a’n faazehaatis saraa-ere

Translation

Make us follow in his footsteps, give us drink from his cup, bring us to his basin (Hawd), assemble us among his company, take our lives upon his faith, cause us to tread his paths, and employ us in the practice of his Sunnah, neither disgraced nor regretful, neither doubting nor altering the truth. O One whose door is wide open to those who call upon Him, and whose veil is lifted for those who place hope in Him! O Concealer of vile deeds, and Healer of wounded hearts, do not expose me at the gathering of the Resurrection through destructive sins, and do not turn Your noble face away from me from among all the creation. O ultimate shelter of the destitute in distress, O Mender of broken bones! Pardon my ruinous crimes, and forgive my disgraceful secrets,

Transliteration

wagh sil qalbee min wizril khataayaa war zuqnee husnal iste’daade lenozoolil manaayaa yaa akramal akrameena wa muntahaa umniyyatis saaeleena anta mawlaaya, fatahta lee baabad do-a’a-e wal enaabate falaa tughliq a’nnee baabal qaboole wal ejaabate wanajjenee be-rahmateka menan naare wa bawwe-nee ghorofaatil jenaane waj a’lnee motamassekan bil-u’rwatil wusqaa wakh tim lee bis-sa-a’adate wa ahyenee bis-salaamate yaa zal fazle wal kamaale, wal i’zzate wal jalaale wa laa tushmit bee a’duwwan wa laa haasedan

Translation

wash my heart clean from the heavy burden of sins, and grant me good preparation for the descent of death. O Most Generous of the generous, and ultimate aspiration of those who plead! You are my Master; You opened for me the gate of prayer and repentance, so do not shut against me the door of acceptance and response; rescue me by Your mercy from the Fire, and settle me in the high chambers of Paradise. Make me hold firmly to the most trustworthy handhold, seal my life with felicity, and grant me life with safety and peace, O Owner of grace and perfection, and majesty and glory! Do not let an enemy or an envious person gloat over me,

Transliteration

wa laa tosallit a’layya sultaanan a’needan wa laa shaytaanan mareedan be-rahmateka yaa arhamar raahemeen wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaahil a’liyyil a’zeeme wa sallal laaho a’laa mohammadin wa aalehi wa sallama tasleemaa

Translation

and do not impose upon me a stubborn oppressor nor a rebellious devil, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful! And there is no might nor power except with Allah, the Exalted, the Magnificent. May Allah send blessings and peace abundantly upon Muhammad and his progeny.
