wa as'aluka ya allahu bir-rububiyyatillati tafarradta biha an taqiyanin-nara biqudratika wa tudkhilanil jannata birahmatik ya nuru anta nurus-samawati wal-ard qadis-tada'a binurika ahlu samawatika wa ardik fa-as'aluka an taj'ala li nuran fi sam'i wa basari astadi'u bihi fid-dunya wal-akhirah ya 'azimu anta rabbul 'arshil 'azim bi-'azamatika sta'antu farfa'ni wa alhiqni darajatas-salihin ya karimu bikaramika ta'arradtu wa bihi tamassaktu wa 'alayhi tawakkaltu wa 'tamadtu fa-akrimni bikaramatika wa anzil 'alayya rahmataka wa barakatika wa qarribni min jiwarik wa albisni min mahabatika wa baha'ika wa anilni min rahmatika wa jazili 'ata'ik ya kabiru la tusa''ir khaddi wa la tusallit 'alayya mal la yarhamuni warfa' dhikri wa sharrif maqami wa a'li fi 'illiyyina darajati ya muta'ali as'aluka bi-'uluwwika an tarfa'ni wa la tada'ni wa la tudhillani biman huwa arfa'u minni wa la tusallit 'alayya man huwa duni wa askin khawfaka qalbi ya hayyu as'aluka bihayatikallati la tamutu an tuhawwina 'alayyal mawta wa an tuhyiyani hayatan tayyibatan wa tawaffani ma'al abrar ya qayyumu antal qa'imu 'ala kulli nafsim bima kasabat wal-muqimu bikulli shay'ij-'alni mimmay yuti'uka wa yaqumu bi-amrika wa haqqika wa la yaghfulu 'an dhikrik ya rahmanu rhamni birahmatika wa jud 'alayya bifadlika wa judika wa najjini min 'iqabika wa ajirni min 'adhabik
I ask You, O God, by the Lordship in which You are unique, to save me from the Fire by Your Power, and let me enter Paradise by Your Mercy. O Light! You are the Light of the heavens and the earth! The people of Your heavens and earth are illuminated by Your Light. I ask You to place light in my hearing and my sight, by which I may be illuminated in this world and the Hereafter. O Supreme! You are the Lord of the Supreme Throne! By Your Greatness I seek help, so raise me and join me to the ranks of the righteous. O the All-Generous! I present myself to Your Benevolence, grab onto it, and upon it I place my trust and reliance; so honor me out of Your Benevolence, send down Your Mercy and Blessings upon me, and bring me close to Your proximity. Adorn me with Your splendor and beauty, and grant me Your Mercy and Your abundant gifts. O Great! Do not let my face turn away in humiliation, do not subject me to one who has no mercy on me, raise my renown, and honor my position. And raise my rank in the highest of the high. O Most Exalted! I ask You by Your Sublimity to raise me and not lower me, do not debase me through one who is higher than me, do not subject me to one who is inferior to me, and let Your fear reside in my heart. O Living! I ask You by Your Life that never ends to make death easy for me, to give me a wholesome life, and to let me die in the company of the righteous. O the Self-Subsisting! You are the maintainer over every soul according to what it earns, and the upholder of everything; make me of those who obey You, fulfill Your commands and Your rights, and never neglect Your remembrance. O Compassionate! Have mercy on me with Your Mercy, be kind to me with Your grace and benevolence, save me from Your punishment, and protect me from Your chastisement.
