وَ لَا سَهْلٍ وَ لَا جَبَلٍ…

Wa la sahl wa la jabal. Wa li'annahu la yuwari minka laylun daj. Wa la sama'un dhatu abraj. Wa la bahrun dhu amwaj. Wa la ardun dhatu fijaj. Wa la jibaalun dhatu anbaj. 'Arifun bi rububiyyatik, muqirr bi wahdaniyyatik. Ahatt khubra bi ahl samawatik wa ardhik. La yashghaluka shay'un 'an shay'. La ilaha illa anta wahdaka la sharika lak. Wa anta 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Wa salla Allahu 'ala sayyidina Muhammadin wa alihi wa sallam.
Nor in the plain or the mountain. And because no dark night can conceal me from You. Nor the sky with its towering constellations. Nor the sea with its roaring waves. Nor the earth with its wide paths. Nor mountains with their rugged slopes. I acknowledge Your Lordship and confess Your Oneness. You have full knowledge of the inhabitants of Your heavens and earth. Nothing distracts You from anything. There is no god but You alone, without partner. And You have power over all things. And may Allah send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his family, and grant them peace.
