The Jafaria community observes the first ten nights of Muharram with nightly majalis (gatherings) recounting the events of Karbala and the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions. Each evening includes Qur'an recitation, a lecture (majlis) from a visiting scholar, noha and matam, followed by niyaz (food) for all attendees. The program concludes on the Day of Ashura with a special commemorative gathering. Families with children are encouraged to attend; a supervised kids' area will be available on Ashura.
