Duas to be recited after every obligatory salaat in the month of Ramadan

Transliteration

ya `aliyyu ya `azimu ya ghafuru ya rahimu anta alrrabbu al`azimu alladhi laysa kamithlihi shay`un wa huwa alssami`u albasiru wa hadha shahrun `azzamtahu wa karramtahu wa sharraftahu wa faddaltahu `ala alshshuhuri wa huwa alshsharhu alladhi faradta siyamahu `alayya wa huwa shahru ramadana alladhi anzalta fihi alqur`ana hudan linnasi wa bayyinatin min alhuda walfurqani wa ja`alta fihi laylata alqadri wa ja`altaha khayran min alfi shahrin

Translation

O Most High! O All-great! O All-forgiving! O All-merciful! You are the All-great Lord like Whom there is nothing, and He is the All-hearing, the All-aware. This is a month that You have glorified, ennobled, honored, and preferred to the other months. It is the month that You imposed upon me to observe fasting in it. It is the month of Ramadan during which You revealed the Qur'an as guidance for people, clear proofs on true guidance, and distinction (between the right and the wrong). You decided the Grand Night to be in it and You have decided it to be more favorable that one thousand months.

Transliteration

faya dhalmanni wa la yumannu `alayka munna `alayya bifakaki raqabati min alnnari fi man tamunnu `alayhi wa adkhilni aljannata birahmatika ya arhama alrrahimina

Translation

So, O Lord of graces! None can ever do favor to You! please, do me a favor by releasing me from the Fire and by including me with those to whom You do this favor, and allow me to enter Paradise, on account of Your mercy. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

Transliteration

allahumma adkhil `ala ahli alquburi alssurur allahumma aghni kulla faqir allahumma ashbi` kulla ja'i`in allahumma iksu kulla `uryan allahumma iqdi dayna kulli madinin allahumma farrij `an kulli makrub allahumma rudda kulla gharib allahumma fukka kulla asir allahumma aslih kulla fasidin min umuri almuslimina allahumma ishfi kulla marid allahumma sudda faqrana bighinak allahumma ghayyir su'a halina bihusni halik

Translation

O Allah, (please do) give pleasure to the inhabitants of graves (i.e. the dead). O Allah, (please do) enrich all the poor . O Allah, (please do) satisfy all hungry ones. O Allah, (please do) provide all the naked with clothes. O Allah, (please do) help all the debtors settle their debts. O Allah, (please do) relieve all the aggrieved ones. O Allah, (please do) help all the strangers to return home. O Allah, (please do) release all prisoners. O Allah, (please do) rectify all the Muslims’ affairs that are wrong. O Allah, (please do) heal all the ailed ones. O Allah, (please do) fill our poverty with Your richness. O Allah, (please do) change our ill manners through Your excellent manners.

Transliteration

allahumma iqdi `anna alddayna wa aghnina min alfaqr innaka `ala kulli shay`in qadir

Translation

O Allah, (please do) help us settle our debts and save us from poverty. verily, You have power over all things.

Transliteration

allahumma irzuqni hajja baytika alharami fi `ami hadha wa fi kulli `amin ma abqaytani fi yusrin minka wa `afiyatin wa sa`ati rizqin wa la tukhlini min tilka almawaqifi alkarimati walmashahidi alshsharifati wa ziyarati qabri nabiyyika salawatuka `alayhi wa-alihi wa fi jami`i hawa`iji alddunya wal-akhirati fakun li allahumma inni as'aluka fi ma taqdi wa tuqaddiru min al-amri almahtumi fi laylati alqadri min alqadha`i alladhi la yuraddu wa la yubaddalu an taktubani min hujjaji baytika alharami almabruri hajjuhum

Translation

O Allah, (please) confer upon me with the grace of pilgrimage to Your Holy House in this year and every year as long as You keep me alive, with easiness, good health, and expansive sustenance from You. Do not deprive me of these noble situations, holy places, and visiting the tomb of Your Prophet—may Your blessings be upon him and his Household. (Please) stand for me in all of my needs for this worldly life and the Next World. O Allah, I beseech You regarding that which You decide and determine from the inevitable decisions that You make on the Grand Night— decisions that are neither retreated nor altered— to include me with the pilgrims to Your Holy House whose pilgrimage is admitted by You,

Transliteration

almashkuri sa`yuhum almaghfuri dhunubuhum almukaffari `anhum sayyi`atuhum waj`al fi ma taqdi wa tuqaddiru an tutila `umri wa tuwassi`a `alayya rizqi wa tu'addiya `anni amanati wa dayni amina rabba al`alamina

Translation

whose efforts are thankfully accepted by You, whose sins are forgiven by You, and whose offenses are pardoned by You., Within Your determined decisions, please decide for me a long life, expansive sustenance, and help to fulfill my trusts and settle my debts. Respond to me, O Lord of the worlds!

Transliteration

allahumma inni bika wa minka atlubu hajati wa man talaba hajatan ila alnnasi fa-inni la atlubu hajati illa minka wahdaka la sharika laka wa as'aluka bifadlika wa ridwanika an tusalliya `ala muhammadin wa ahli baytihi wa an taj`ala li fi `ami hadha ila baytika alharami sabilan hijjatan mabruratan mutaqabbalatan zakiyatan khalisatan laka taqarru biha `ayni wa tarfa`u biha darajati

Translation

O Allah, from You and by You, I beseech for settling my need. If others beg people for settling their needs, I ask none except You for settling my need; from You alone, since You have no partner with You. I thus implore You in the name of Your favor and Your pleasure, to send blessings to Muhammad and his Household and to choose for me a way to Your Holy House this year: a pilgrimage that is admitted, accepted, pure, and sincerely intended for You by which You delight me and raise my rank with You.

Transliteration

wa tarzuqani an aghudda basari wa an ahfaza farji wa an akuffa biha `an jami`i maharimika hatta la yakuna shay`un athara `indi min ta`atika wa khashyatika wal`amali bima ahbabta walttarki lima karihta wa nahayta `anhu waj`al dhalika fi yusrin wa yasarin wa `afiyatin wa ma an`amta bihi `alayya wa as'aluka an taj`ala wafati qatlan fi sabilika tahta rayati nabiyyika ma`a awliya'ika wa as'aluka an taqtula bi a`da'aka wa a`da'a rasulika wa as'aluka an tukrimani bihawani man shi'ta min khalqika

Translation

Confer upon me with the grace of making me cast my sight down (against what is illegal for me to look at), making me act chastely, and making me stop committing any deed that You have deemed unlawful so that nothing will be more preferred in my sight than obedience to You, fear of You, doing all that which You love, and avoiding all that which You have detested and warned against. (Please) make all that take place with easiness, lenience, and good health as well as the grace that You have bestowed upon me. I beseech You to cause me to die as martyr for Your sake, under the pennon of Your Prophet and in the line of Your intimate servants. I ask You to make me a means of killing Your enemies and the enemies of Your Messenger. I ask You to honor me through humiliation by any one of Your created beings that You choose,

Transliteration

wa la tuhinni bikaramati ahadin min awliya'ika allahumma ij`al li ma`a alrrasuli sabilan hasbiya allahu ma sha'a allahu

Translation

and (O Allah) don’t humiliate me by giving me honor that will hurt (harm or derogate) any of your loved ones O Allah, find me a way with the Messenger. Allah is Sufficient unto me! Only that which Allah wants shall take place.

Transliteration

allahumma addi `anna haqqa ma madha min shahri ramadhana waghfir lana taqsirana fihi wa tasallmhu minna maqbulan wa la tu´akhidhna bi-israfina `ala anfusina waj`alna mina almarhumina wa la taj`alna mina almahrumina

Translation

O Allah: (please) help us fulfill the right of the past days of the month of Ramadhan, And forgive us our shortcoming during it, And receive it from us with acceptance, And do not blame us for our extravagance in our affairs, And include us with those upon whom mercy is had, And do not include us with those deprived (of the awards of Ramadhan).

Transliteration

Allāhumma ij‘al fīmā taqḍī wa tuqaddiru min al-amri al-‘aẓīmi al-maḥtūm, Wa fīmā tafruqu min al-amri al-ḥakīmi fī laylati al-qadr, An taj‘alani min ḥujjāji baytika al-ḥarāmi al-mabrūri ḥajjuhum al-mashkūri sa‘yuhum al-maghfūri dhanbuhum, Wa as’aluka an tuṭīla ‘umrī fī ṭā‘atika wa tuwassi‘a lī fī rizqī, Yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn.

Translation

O Allah, make it among what You decree and determine of the great, concealed affair, And among what You distribute of the wise affair on the Night of Decree, That You make me among the pilgrims to Your Sacred House, whose pilgrimage is accepted, whose effort is appreciated, and whose sins are forgiven. And I ask You to prolong my life in obedience to You and to expand my sustenance, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
